Star Ratings Showing in SERP
-
Hello everyone,
I'm looking to display testimonials with star ratings in SERP's for a RV repair shop.
The testimonials will be unique and manually added to the site.
Is this achieved through Rich Snippets/Schema markup or is there a specific way to implement it to influence Google to display the ratings?
Thanks in advance.

Hello MXRSEO,
You're correct, this is achieved with the correct markup / microdata and using Google's rich snippet testing tool will verify you have the tags set up properly.
You can also go into Google Webmaster Tools and use their highlighter feature to try and get it to show that way.
You'll then need to wait to see the site reindexed and remember, Google doesn't have to use that microdata in their SERPs and will often omit some of it.
You can see the amount of 'structured data' Google has collected right through GWT too.

The Schema markup is all you need. I've never had to do anything else besides that, and Google usually indexes the rich snippet within a couple weeks.

How to make Google show reviews from Facebook and Google My Business?
I wonder if there is anything I can do to increase the chance that Google shows stars that indicate the average score of our reviews from Facebook or Google MyBusiness for the keywords where we rank nr. 1, for instance our brand name?

Poor reviews and ratings
I have an interesting challenge for a new client. Basically, they collect payment from gym users whose monthly subscription payment has failed, and they charge the gym user a fee and not the gym. Their clients love them for this, but the end consumer hates them and as a consequence, every review or ratings site from Google Reviews to Trustpilot is universally filled with angry consumers who didn't read the Ts and Cs of their gym membership. Understandable, but it also means the client can't have a presence on any social channel as they simply become a gripe board for disgruntled consumers. My question is, how are the poor reviews impacting on rankings and domain authority and should I treat this like any other client in terms of fixing crawl issues and seeking quality backlinks or am I always going to be pushing water uphill? Cheers gang!

Review stars dropped off in Google from Rich Snippets (started in October '17 - Jan '18 timeframe)
Our review stars from Rich Snippets are not showing up in Google for Novus products. I believe these are structured correctly or at least there are no errors. We have tried to troubleshoot on our own and asked multiple SEO'er's and partners, but have not had success. Turning to MOZ! They were there in September/October timeframe but dropped off in October to January timeframe. example URL: https://www.google.com/search?q=hif+1+alpha+antibody&oq=hif+1+alpha+antibod (It seems to be off all products); This started in October to January time frame so was before the latest algo update.

Single 1 Star Rating on GMB
Hi all, We recently received a 1 star rating on GMB. It's just the rating, no review/comment with it. We don't recognise the name so we think it must have been made in error or is spam. We discussed this internally, and it was decided that we should try to have it removed, although I personally didn't think our chances of getting it removed would be very good (because we wouldn't be able to prove it was spam). I flagged it as spam but didn't get a reply (would you even expect to get one?). I also sent GMB a DM on Twitter a couple of days ago, and again no reply. Edit: Google have now replied as I tweeted them again and as expected they won't remove the rating as it doesn't violate their policies. Normally, I wouldn't be so concerned about one individual poor rating (especially as it is just a rating), but we haven't had any reviews on Google before, so now our average is one star which just looks bad when someone googles our company. We use an external review provider for getting reviews from customers, so we don't actively encourage our customers to rate us on Google. I was thinking we should reply to the rating, with a message saying something along the lines of "We can't find your name in our accounts, but if you get in touch with our customer service, we are confident they will be able to help you." It would also help to get more ratings or reviews to even out the one bad one and improve our average. Is there anything else we could do? How would you handle this? Thanks!

I can not see my google seller ratings anymore. Any ideas?
I used to be able to see google seller ratings of my sites at
Reviews and Ratings | | lcourse
https://www.google.com/shopping/seller?q=example.com Now I just see it for sites with a couple of hundred reviews.
Is there still any other URL or other way how I can see the seller ratings that google collected so far for my sites (even if I did not reach the threshold of 200 ratings in last 12 months)?0 -

Yelp to Show Evidence of "Review Fraud"
I just came across this post on SELand: http://searchengineland.com/yelp-adds-link-to-evidence-of-review-fraud-222740 Has anybody noticed this on their/a client's Yelp page? I'm curious to know what percentage of listings have received this type of flag. What are your thoughts on this new implementation?

Grade Us vs 5 Star Reviews?
We need to get some more reviews, so we're looking at either getting Grade Us or 5 Star Reviews' services. Does anyone have strong feelings about either one? Or another service? Thanks, Ruben
