New to MOZ, can't create a campaign.
-
I just started the free trial today, but I can't setup a campaign. Everywhere I go (http://analytics.moz.com/pro/home, http://analytics.moz.com/manage-campaigns), all I see is:
Oops! Try refreshing the page, if that doesn't work, please click here to contact our help team.
Is something broken?

Hey!
This is somewhat of a common issue with strange configuration issues with specific machines. Especially on Macs.
Our engineers have identified three possible causes and solutions for this issue:
-
Highly sensitive anti-virus software. The way to get around this is to whitelist moz.com in the software. If you are running Sophos Anti-Virus on Mac. Disable the option 'Block malicious downloads from websites, protecting your Mac from obfuscated, polymorphic and zero-day threats before reaching your browser'.
-
Enterprise firewalls that block us, which you may need to work with your IT department on if you do not have direct access to your firewall settings.
-
VPN connection/profiles. Disabling or removing the VPN profile has been known to be a common issue.
We confirmed that the problem was the Cisco AnyConnect client installed on his machine. Even if the client isn't actively running, a background service it installs blocks CORS requests. Uninstalling it allowed him to use MA immediately.
Here's an article describing the problem, and a possible workaround:
http://www.bennadel.com/blog/2559-cisco-anyconnect-vpn-client-may-block-cors-ajax-options-requests.htmUltimately our guess is a software update is compromising key security files that are preventing access to ajax options requests and a last resort fix has been a re-install of an OS. It's very tricky but hopefully one of the above issues is the culprit, which can be fixed.
Hope this helps!

If you do have problems in the future, could you send us a note at help@moz.com? There's some one-on-one help we can give you with a couple of alternatives. Thanks!

I did a little more digging, and here's what I found. When connected to the network in question, I get numerous errors in the browser console like this when loading the pro home or campaign pages:
XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://vanguard.moz.com/pro-home/campaign-list-lite/prod.3938937. Origin http://analytics.moz.com is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. (home, line 0)
I do not get those errors (at least I have not thus far) when connected to other networks. I don't know much about the network setup here, but I do believe there is a proxy in place.
-
So glad to hear that, and thanks for letting us know that it's fixed!

To answer my own question, the problem seems to have been network/firewall related. When I switched to a different internet connection, everything started working fine...

Moz unable to crawl my Zenfolio website
Hey guys, I am attempting to optimize a website for my wife's business but Moz is unable to crawl it. Zenfolio is the web hosting service (she is a photographer). The error message is: **Moz was unable to crawl your site on Apr 1, 2019. **Our crawler was not able to access the robots.txt file on your site. This often occurs because of a server error from the robots.txt. Although this may have been caused by a temporary outage, we recommend making sure your robots.txt file is accessible and that your network and server are working correctly. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. Read our troubleshooting guide. I did read the troubleshooting guide but nothing worked. My robots.txt file disallows a few bots, but not roger bot. Anyone have any idea what is going on? Or do I need to request server logs from Zenfolio? Thanks

Moz Site Crawl can't index WIX sites
We've been attempting to work on some SEO for a new potential client however they are using a WIX site. We've noticed that Moz SEO tools will not index any WIX sites. e.g. https://www.sharonradisch.com/ (which is one of their case studies). Anyone seen this that can offer any advice? Thanks,

Getting Started: Multiple Campaigns VS Single Campaign
I'm new to Moz and am trying to determine whether to create multiple campaigns broken out into product categories or a single campaign and label keywords by product category. I figure the majority of the folks in the Moz Community are in agency space, so most probably prefer a single campaign per client. We're an in-house marketing team so we have the ability to track up to 10 campaigns but only need to track a single website. I like the idea of having the different campaigns for different product categories, but I don't want to make things overly complex either. Just because you can do something doesn't necessarily mean you should.

My question is, when you translate your website to another language, does moz crawl both or do i have to add another campaign to moz so that they can crawl it seperately?
Hello, i recently translated my website to spanish, keywords, meta tags, content etc. All of our URL for the translated pages start "ep", which symbolizes espanol. My question is, does moz crawl those pages along with my english pages? or do i have add another campaign for moz to crawl my spanish pages seperately?

Why can't I Ctrl + click on links on Moz any more?
I'm interested if it's just me that gets frustrated by this? I've just Ctrl + clicked a few links to open them in separate tabs and then realised that none of them had opened. I know it's been like this for a while. It's a usability issue as it goes against expected norms, and now I have to right-click and then click "Open in new tab" on each link, which is more time-consuming and frustrating. More and more websites seem to be losing their Ctrl + click on links ability (JavaScript often breaks it). I don't know if there's a Mac equivalent... Anyway, I hope that doesn't seem like I'm too angry. It just frustrates me a little and I hope it gets fixed. 🙂 Edit - I've just realised these are getting blocked by Chrome's pop-up blocker - but why? It's only an issue on a small number of websites.

Moz Analytics - Reports
In the guide video (http://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started) a report button is show. However, I cannot see this button in Moz Analytics. I'm assuming this is due to the tool being in beta?
