Why does SEOMoz Pro only do Rankings Once a Week?
-
Not sure I understand why the SEOMoz PRO report of rankings only occurs once a week? Any ideas? Seems like it would be easy to just pull that ranking report at any time.
-
To keep the price down at $99. Devoting resources to bi-weekly ranking reports wouldn't be the best use of them, I imagine. The same resources could be used to analyse better data more often. You could also ask - why only 50 credits for the keyword difficulty tool? They're just delivering what they feel is the optimal balance of features for the $99 you pay.
-
I do tend to watch my main keyword as it teaters between 10-12 as page 1 tends to create large spikes in traffic for us, but I'm not an SEO, just a developer keen to keep a site on page 1. The rest of the keyword, I just watch the summary.

They know that SEOs obsess over their rankings too much... and if they updated it daily we would spend too much time looking at ranking reports and not enough time on our more important work.
-
This one was discussed recently in another post but the bottom line is resources. There is a reaserch Tool 'Rank Tracker' that you can use daily, but 300+ keyword for each of SeoMoz's customers every day automatically would mean they would need more resources and add costs which they would have to pass on to us. Most people would probably net check daily anyway. Even Google analytics are a few days behind in their reporting.

SEOmoz Not Picking Up Links
I'm finding that SEOmoz often doesn't pick up on many of the links my client's websites are attaining. The links do appear in search engine and often have a high domain authority (often PR links, which I why I follow up to see if they've been picked up). I do tend to see many of the links appear in webmaster tools, so it's a little frustrating that they don't appear, even after months of pages being live. Thoughts?

SEOMOZ Support: Domain Name Change in SEOMOZ
My client is changing their domain name. They are redirecting (301) all of their URLs to the new domain. Do I need to do anything in SEOMOZ to preserve the campaign?

Is SEOmoz spider ignoring my redirect?
My client was previously serving their website from both a .co.uk and a .com domain. The DNS for each of these domains was pointing to the same place, rather than redirecting. I saw this as a potential duplicate content problem so I set the .co.uk to 301 redirect on to the .com. As a user, the 301 seems to be working correctly. However, now that I have done this, SEOmoz is picking up thousands of "inbound" links from the .co.uk domain. Essentially, every single link on the internal site, is being duplicated in my stats as an inbound link as well. It appears that the spider is ignoring the redirect. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate issue that will upset Google too, or if it's just a bug with SEOMoz's spider.

SEOmoz Rank tracking
I think this tool is a bit off : ) This morning I checked my ranking for a keyword and every time I recheck it I see my results in a different place. I checked on word 5 times and got three different results. Is Google brocken or is the tracker doing its own thing? This is not the first time I am seeing this issue only today its really acting up. IMHO I think it would be best if the tool just says out of order 🙂 rather than 3, 10, 6 for one keyword phrase within ten minutes...

How can I get ranking keys of competitors
Sometimes it might be clever to analyse the stategy of a competitor to see with which keys they rank successfully. For example I have a webshop, so I type in amazon.com and seomoz spits out: books, dvds, ... I can now see with what keys i wont have a chance and can think of missing keys where my chance might be. Is there a possibility to find out with seomoz?

Is the SEOMOZ rank checker accounting for the mega sitelinks?
Just curious if the SEOMOZ rank checker accounts for the mega sitelinks? Are this counted as separate listings (which would in effect make it report a lower serp position) or are they bundled up with the first result and considered as #1 spot? Thanks
