I'm New To Moz What To Focus On First
-
Hello,
Recently signed up to MOZ for the sites we operate in the UK.
I wondered what folks would recommend I focus on first when starting to use MOZ for the first time for sites SEO?
Cheers
Stuart

Welcome. One thing I find really useful is the "Email Updates" button here on the Q&A posts. When I find a question I am interested in learning more about, I can click the "Email Updates" and then I will receive responses to the question via email. It's a great way to follow the topics you are curious about and tap into some of the expert knowledge here.

One thing to consider, is that if you're after LOCAL SEO, then you're going to be in that MOZ area, while if you're after regional or national or global SEO rankings, you'd be in a diff area here....
Both are similar but different. Both require a ton of work....but MOZ captures the methodology for both!

Hi Stewart, welcome to Moz! Donna and Pixelbypixel pointed to you to some great resources for getting started in SEO (if you are indeed new to both Moz and SEO). To get started with Moz Analytics, I'd recommend checking out this Help Guide. It will walk you through your first campaign setup.
You will find answers to the most common questions about Moz Analytics in the Help Hub. You can search both the Help Hub and Q&A Forum from there. If you get stuck, please do not hesitate to reach out to the community here in Q&A.
Great question!

Welcome to Moz,
Some great things I recommend are on this page - http://moz.com/learn/seo
including the fantastic http://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo
Don't forget to check on the blog for some nice things each day http://moz.com/blog
finally get stuck in, the Q&A section has a really nice community not forgetting all the history (via search) of things you can learn.
Hope you find everything you need and have fun too
and finally stay TAGFEE

Hi Urban33,
If you're new to Moz and SEO start with http://moz.com/learn/seo. SEO is about a whole bunch of things that add up, not one small trick or tactic that skyrockets you to the top of search results quickly. Then I'd plug your own website into a MozPro Campaign. It's a great way to learn about the tools as it's likely the site you know best. Third, I'd monitor this forum. You'll not only learn a lot of the subtleties of SEO, you'll learn about the community and how we help one another.
Welcome!

I have an issue with hubspot's blog platform and duplicate content.
It is redirecting all https to http and I am unable to change it, resulting in a lot of duplicate content. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you find a solution? Or does anyone have any suggestions?

Moz says I am missing titles and meta tags and have duplicate content
I just redesigned my website and suddenly traffic has dropped. Moz says I am missing titles, meta tag descriptions and have a lot of duplicate content. My site is http://skigenie.com and is full of unique and hand written content,. Are there any wordpress plugins that will add titles etc to my pages (some of the added ones are custom)? Any help would be much appreciated!

Moz vs google data conflict?
Hi there, I am doing an SEO site audit for a client(giveaway, and here is the problem: when performing site:domain.com on google --> 13,800 pages were found When I see this number it seems to be a bit too much compare to the links i checked on integrity(link check for broken links) which gave me a result of 1291. I digged in more into the Google results and saw hundreds(maybe thousands) of pages that are blocked by robots.txt. So I am thinking, ok this is it, thousands of pages can't be crawled by the search engines. Here is the big BUT though, then I check at my moz crawl (see attachment) and no pages are blocked by the SEs, and then look at the dups, only 23 recorded?? Is Moz not crawling properly the 13,800 results that google finds or is this some magical phenomenon happening here? I am really confused here that is why I need some help here! Thank you guys! Keyword Ranking weekly update didn't happen
A new campaign of mine is supposed to update its keyword rankings on Wednesdays but as of Thursday morning it didn't happen. I've got the original stats from the first few keywords I added when the campaign was set up, but nothing for the keywords that were added in the next day. Previous experience with this tool was pretty reliable so I'm just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same thing.

I'm looking for good outbound link profiling tool...
Hello all, Just a brief question... does anybody know of a good link profiling tool which will give me a list of URLs that are linked to from a specific website? Essentially, I'm looking for the polar opposite of OpenSiteExplorer as I'm not interested in the inbound links, only the outbound links. Thanks, Elias

What kind of keyword difficulty should I be aiming for when launching an new site?
I know that words in their 20's or 30's would be ideal, but it's proving hard for me to find relevant keywords with such scores (just a couple with scores in the 30's). Is going for words between 40-50 a waste of time? Thanks.
