Anyone heard of or used Hadoop software for SEO/website analytics?

Hey Moz Community,
We received an interesting email this morning from a client's marketing manager asking if we knew about or have ever used "Hadoop software" because "[Business owner name] says it’s supposed to help us see how people use our website and more."
I've never heard of this software and upon looking around on the web, it says it can do a lot, but my client is a small law firm who average 800-1,000 visitors per month, mainly from their 2 local office cities/markets.
Anyone have any thoughts on this or ever use this software? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your input, Martijn. This is exactly what I was thinking after reading up more about it. Small business wouldn't benefit from this type of software, nor do I think they could afford it.

Hi Patrick,
I've definitely heard from Hadoop, but if the site has 800-1000 visits a month then you're trying to scale issues that are really not useful with Hadoop in relation to the size of your site. Hadoop is really for big data for sites I would say starting at 800k - 1million. It's also by far not a plug and play tool like any other tool and you have to configure a lot with probably a lot of related costs.

Been stuck on seo duplication issues shopify
hey there we have been working on some of our webshops and recently started with analytics/moz,but we have basicly hit a brick wall when it comes to www.krawattenwelt.de since we have had 5k high priority issues (duplicate content) and 20k medium priority issues now i have tried a large amount of solutions regarding the duplicate content issues but it didnt work so we basicly reverted it back to for now and i have the feeling i am really running out of options is there anyone who has an idea on how to do this? duplicate content issues are as follows example:http://krawattenwelt.de/collections/budget-9-15 issues with:http://krawattenwelt.de/collections/budget-9-15/modell_normal and with:http://krawattenwelt.de/collections/budget-9-15/modell_normal?page=1

How to better track subdomains in Google Analytics?
Hello Everybody! so I am setting up a website that will have several subdomains, based on the language of the site, for example: site.com; es.site.com; fr.site.com... How should I trace this is GA but having attention that I should be able to see visits as a whole and also if I want I should be able to see visits per subdomain, anything on specific I should do when creating the account? And after creating the account, how to separate that accordingly? 🙂 Thank you all!

When to note Keyword improvement/decline?
Every report we have fluctuations in our rankings, but the majority of them are only a few places up or a few places down. Other than first page and top 3, when do you all start noting fluctuations (good or bad)? Would you start at 5, 10, 20 etc? Thanks, Ruben

Strange pages visited in analytics
Hi Guys I am finding this in one of my sites analytics allot /tr-url/en-ru.ru/ followed directly by the site in questions domain name and page of interest....like this.. /tr-url/en-ru.ru/www.example.com/blue-widget/ and example.com being the analytics of the site in question. Are these pages that have been translated? like by yandex or something in that line....I cannot seem to find anything on this anywhere. What is this and should i be concerned?? thanks for the help cheers

Google Analytics/ Contact 7 Plugin
I have a site that uses the contact 7 plugin for its contact form sitewide in a sidebar and on a contact us page. I've set up a goal in analytics and tracked using the "on_sent_ok" hook but the number of goals GA is creating is far outweighing the number of times the form is actually completed. I figured my initial mistake was to use the contact-us page as the page tracker variable for the goal but wondered if it was counting all form completions AND anyone who went to the contact page. So I amended it to a contact-us/thank-you page that no site visitor could navigate to, and since I have no goals completed, even though we're getting enquiries through the form. Am I being dumb here and missing something quite simple?
