Does Google Analytics track conversions in real time?
-
Looking at the section: Conversions > Goals > Overview - does Google Analytics provide real time / same day metrics for this conversion data or does it take 24 hrs?
-
Great. Thanks for the update
-
Update for everyone. It took a few hours but you can see same day metrics for goal conversions here in GA: Conversions > Goals > Overview
-
Ok thanks Ricardo.
I set up goals to track Unbounce landing page form submissions (using regular expressions).
I wanted to see if I could see a tally for all of today's conversions under Conversions > Goals > Overview and if that took 24hrs to see.

Thank you for the response Shawn_Huber

Hi Rich,
If you have conversions set up you can see them in Real-Time or at least what GA considers it to be
In you GA dashboard click Real-Time > in that drop down towards the bottom there is Conversions. It will show Active Users that hit any of the goals that you have configured.
You can also see traffic sources, location of the visitor, any events set up and what pages they are viewing all in real time.

Thank you Josettel

YES in real time, no 24 hour delay

thanks for the response CenturyBiz

I don't think so. I believe data is 24 hours old...

How to change domains in Google Analytics without losing the data
Hi there, We recently changed our domain from .COM to .NET so that all our subdomains from external pages matched. Right now in Google Console we have our new .NET website being tracked, but in GA we are still tracking .COM. It is also causing issues with MOZ crawling our site because of the .COM/.NET discrepancy. My question is what is the best way to change our Google Analytics from .COM to .NET without losing historical data and what considerations do we need to change before implementing this? Our team was concerned that just downloading the old data would be too vast and it we wouldn't be able to continue manipulating it dynamically in GA. Thanks!!

Direct traffic spam on Google Analytics: how can you identify and filter it?
One of my smaller clients noticed a huge jump in direct traffic visits last month. The bounce rate was around 97% so I'm pretty certain that most of the traffic was illegitimate. I know how to filter out spam referrals and organic keywords in Google Analytics. However I'm not sure what to do about direct traffic spam. Are there recommendations for filtering this out? Can I identify spam IP addresses?

Problems with analytics, conversation data and assisted conversions
Hi guys. Having issues with analytics. Firstly, it doesn't record all our sales accurately. My boss downloaded a sales report directly from our site, and it doesn't match up to the analytics, our actual sales were significantly higher than Google analytics was reporting (by about a 1/3). Any idea why Google is missing so many of the conversions? Also, I'm trying to work our how many assisted conversion we are getting from our ad words campaigns. I've been looking through our top conversion path data to try find conversions that started with a paid click. However, I seem to have some inconsistencies. We have only one ad words group that is on the display network (Re-marketing V1 Ad group 1) , and according to analytics we have a conversion from it (See Screen shot 1). However, there is no record of this in our ad words data. (See screen shot 2). This is over the same time period. I don't know what to take from this. Can anyone help? Isaac. Google Analytics
Looking at a client's analytics - one page doesn't seem to record 'average time on page' data (it just displays 0.00 despite it receiving traffic) This isn't an issue for the rest of the website's pages. Any idea? http://www.smilestyledental.co.uk/ppc/general-dentistry-at-smile-style.html thanks for any help!

Comparing % Change, Google Analytics
Hey Mozzers, Is there a simple way to compare the "% Change" in traffic when comparing two separate time periods in a single Google Analytics report? When comparing data from two separate time periods, an exported CSV doesn't include the % Change (booo!), and there's no option to sort by % Change within the GA report, essentially forcing you to scroll through all the results to pinpoint the major movers and shakers. I'm not averse to using spreadsheets to sort this data, but I'm thinking that I'd likely need a macro to make this work, something like this. However, none of the macros on that page are working (possibly because they were designed for a previous version of Analytics). All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
