How can you perform a simulated search query from another location?
-
In order to review the search results for different locations (New York, London, Paris, Berlin, etc.) I have tried several ways to simulate a search query from different locations. None of the ways I tried gave me the correct results, mostly because Google recognized my location anyway. Tools such as Browserstack also didn't give me the results I hoped for.
Any ideas how to generate search results from different locations?

Try the Google Ad Preview Tool: https://www.googleadpreview.com/
Basically, with the Google Ad Preview Tool you can view the Google search results for Google AdWords (Google Shopping & Paid Search) and Google organic search results based on the location (Country & City), Devices (Desktop, Mobile, and Tablet), Languages etc.

Thanks... works quite good only the Adwords results are not displayed fully such as the PLA's which are not served. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the .com domain.

Even if you search on google.com? Have you tried other countries like google.fr? If google.com is redirecting to the Netherlands' version visiting www.google.com/ncr should stop it.
-
Thanks for your replies. When I try to change my location settings, for instance New York, than a pop-up appears which asks to insert a location in The Netherlands. So unfortunately this is not the right solution.

This works on any localised version of Google (at least those I've tried!). So you can go to google.de and enter Berlin as the location, google.co.uk and enter London etc.

There are tools that uses Cloud based IP so that they can get result exact from that location that includes tools like advanced web rankings and Rank Watch.
Try any of these tools and I think you will be able to see the results from certain locations.
Hope this helps!
P.S. VPN is also a good option!

Hey There!
For searches within the U.S., go to Google and make your search. Then from the horizontal menu under the search bar, click 'Search Tools'. This will bring up the option to change your city and will reorder the SERPs based on what you input. However, if you are in the US, this only works for cities in the US - not for international cities.

You could use a VPN perhaps but it might get a bit expensive if you need multiple locations.

U.S. Vs. Canada search volume
How does Moz differentiate Canadian data vs. U.S. data? I'm particularly interested in search volume. Why is there such a big difference in volume (much less in Canada)? Is this due to population differences or are there other factors? For example, see the monthly volume for the keyword "Business resilience": U.S. = 360

My page was removed from Google search result, any idea why?
URL: http://id.gamesinasia.com/review-smartphone-xiaomi-mi3/ Hi, So last week I wrote a review about a smartphone and after a couple days my post was at 6th (first page) in google search result. But yesterday it was suddenly disappeared from google search result (not even in 10++ page). Normally I just have to wrote title page + games in asia, like "review xiaomi mi3 games in asia" and google will show me the post but now it wont even show. In fact two other site that simply scrap my content was showing on 1st and 2nd result! More info: All the content was original, including the image. We are also Yahoo (Indonesia) content partner so my review also ends up in yahoo site ( https://id.berita.yahoo.com/review-xiaomi-mi3-sebuah-angkatan-baru-dunia-smartphone-121537236.html) I'm not expecting a super high ranking, but google is punishing the page and I have no idea why. Thanks!

How can I easily track multiple keywords for multiple pages?
We are creating landing pages to target keywords, and would like to be able to have something set up so at a glance we can see each page's rank for its targeted keyword. For example, if we have pages with the URLs of example.com/sites/purple-widgets, example.com/sites/purple-widgets-for-cheap, example.com/sites/cheap-purple-widgets, etc., we'd like to see the rank of each of those pages for their respective keyword ("purple widgets", "purple widget for cheap", "cheap purple widgets", etc.). Any suggestions?

Where can I find lists of high probability of winning keywords
Keyword research can take a lot of time. Suppose you are not sure of what keywords you want to rank for but just want to see a list of phrases that have 500-5000 searches a day, low cost and low competition because you are looking for phrases that interest you for which it will be easier to rank close to #1 in google. Besides AdWords Keyword Tool, are there sites that specialize in this?
