Subdomain not showing up in ranking reports?
-
Hi Folks,
Apologies for the newbie question here, but hope any of the experts here can help.
Our blog resides on a subdomain, and our blog increasingly plays an important role in driving traffic to our site. However the subdomain does not seem to show up in our keyword rankings report on Moz pro.
Does this report only include URLs on the main site?
Is there a way to monitor how our blog ranks on our keywords somewhere else?
Thanks in advance all!
Regards
Patrick

Hi Linda, once a campaign is setup the settings for the URL cannot be modified. You will only be able to set how to track a domain during the setup process. A new campaign would have to be created if there is a change to the domain.
If you enter a root domain, our tool will track data for any pages at the root domain level including all sub-domains.
If you enter a root domain, sub-domain, or sub-folder and check the advanced box to "exclude all sub-domains" this means we will only track pages within the URL as entered. This means if you entered a root-domain and you are now ranking for the www-version of the site, all of your rankings will not be found in the top 50 search results because we are only looking to track the root-domain version.
For Patrick the campaign is setup as a catch-all which is good so there will not be any issues pulling data. There is common confusion on how we collect rankings data. When a campaign is setup and keywords are entered. Our tool will search those keywords on Google/Bing/Yahoo, etc and will look for results that match the configured domain.
Hope this helps!
If your keyword is ranking for a page on your sub-domain or root domain in the top 50 results, then that exact URL will be listed next to the keyword.

Under campaign settings you can choose to track all sites at your domain; a subdomain; or a subfolder. (It's under Site Basics on the Campaign Settings page.) Check to be sure that you have "Include all sites at the domain" selected.

When you talk about sub-domain, it clearly means that it's a separate entity and not at all a part of your website. So, logically it should not be appearing in keyword rankings report of your main site.
You'll have to create separate report for your sub-domain.

When is Previous Month Available in Custom Reports
I was wondering if anyone knows when the previous month is available in the custom reports for a campaign. Specifically, on the 'Add Modules' page my date drop-down has Weekly (Aug 22 - 28) and Monthly (July 2017). I just need to know when Monthly (August 2017) would be available. Thanks.

Keyword Rankings .CSVs Per Timeframe
I want to download and compare Keyword Rankings for the prior 2 periods - which are currently August 31 and September 17. Selecting the timeframes refreshes the data on screen but when I download the .csv files they are the same - both showing the 'SERP Date' of 9/18/2014. I've cross checked the data to confirm and it is the same between the 2 files. Am I doings something wrong and/or is there another way to accomplish this?

Report time periods & Domain Authority over time
Hello there. I am evaluating the Moz tools and I have two brief questions. What are the time periods (weekly, monthly, ..) that one can choose to compile reports? Is there a view to show Domain Authority over time? Thanks, Marco

Fastest way to set up Moz to produce a list of easy-to-rank for keyword opps
I've used Hubspot's keyword tool previous to MOZ, and I know that they import data generated from MOZ into their tool... but I find it a much more convoluted process using Moz's more robust system. ALL I want is to dump in a long list of keyword possibilities, then see where we can easily rank for these terms, especially against our local competitors. How do I set this up???? It's not as self-explanitory as Hubspot! Thanks!!!

How does MOZ assign a keyword to a page in the On Page Grades by Keyword Ranking
I'm in the beta analytics tool. In the On Page Optimization > On Page Grades by Keyword section, there is a Keyword column with a keyword assigned to each URL on my site. http://analytics.moz.com/search/on-page/572409.326269 How is the keyword that is shown here decieed upon? Is it simply based on a guess of the "best keyword" for each page based on kwp density and other factors? Can I map a new keyword to each page? or at least to my top ten most important pages? I see I can check the grade for any keyword on any page here: http://analytics.moz.com/search/manage-page-grades/572409.326269. I want to map my top ten pages to ten keywords - can I save these changes in the system so I don't have to manually check a keyword/url match each time? Shaun
