Moz Crawl Canonicals and Duplicates
-
Hi all,
I am using Moz Crawl to analyze some sites I am having to optimize.
I keep seeing many of my pages detected as duplicate content when they have the rel=canonical applied.Example: www.spain-internship.com/zh-CN/blog-by-aaron
I have seen that in other sites.Of course I understand that Moz is not perfect but, is there a known issue or am I doing something wrong with the canonicals?
Regards,
-
Hi James,
Sorry for the delay in the answer. The canonical was applied previously first time I did the crawling and now it is done once a week. I will review this week crawl and let you know if it keeps appearing. It should remain the same as I did not make changes.
Regards,
-
Would you mind letting me know how much time was between these crawl tests? Typically you'll want to wait at least 48 hours between the tests. If it is persistent feel free to let us know via help@moz.com or updating the post here.

Sorry just making some tests.
This one would be same case:

I'm getting the following error on your example -
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home/rwbahqam/public_html/spain-internship/plugins/system/redj/redj.php on line 694
Have you given Moz enough time to (re)crawl the urls? If you do a q quick search you will find others with similar problems. Common issues can be making sure the tag is correct (going to the right URL). You may find this one the best for you - http://moz.com/community/q/crwal-errors-duplicate-content-even-with-canonical-links

Sudden Spike in 404 Pages Not Found in Moz Crawl But No Errors in WMT
Recently I received a spike in errors from the Moz crawler. When I looked into the matter I noticed that all the URI's looked right but then I looked a little closer and there was a /page/2 and /page/3 in front of the URI's. I'm running a WordPress website. Immediately I thought to myself this must be some kind of caching or permalinks error. So I disabled all my plugins including W3 Total Cache and ran the Integrity Link Crawler for the Mac and found that the errors were still popping up. 404-errors-ncworkercomp.png?dl=0

Question in regards to Comparing Metrics with MOZ tools
Hi all! After using the "Compare Links Metrics" in the research tools, a few questions popped up. Particularly, in regards to what key metrics to look for when determining if a websites outbound links are trustworthy and may pass Link-juice. Basically, "if my link is put on that website, will search engines trust it"? I've copied an example below and typed a few comments next to particular metrics. Please share some insight them: Page Authority: 48 Page MozRank: 4.94 -Is 4.94 considered OK? Page MozTrust: 4.96 -Is 4.96 considered OK? Moz crawler showing pages blocked by robots.txt
I've blocked a large number of pages which Moz were showing as duplicate or giving 404's in our robots.txt using /?key and /?p etc. However Moz crawler is still showing as being an issue. I assumed Roger picked up the robots.txt file, or is that not the case?

Why Moz doesn't offer tool similar like SEOprofiler Link Disinfection?
Hi Moz, As I have been your member & using pro tool for more than an year, it's been amazing experience working and using your each tool's function tool, wehther to check on-page grader, rank tracking, on-page crawling issue, keyword difficulty and the one my best for link analysis is Open Site Explorer etc. I came here to ask about something which I didn't find here than other providers is most popular Bad Link Detection Tool. As **SEOprofiler Link Disinfection **offers their customers to use this to get all of their bad or spammy links harming them to rank high or getting away from ranking goal. Let me know, are you planning anything similar to this to bring soon in your tools and provide your members to take benefits of such type function as well OR should i go to SEOprofiler for this? Best,
