Getting started with moz
-
Hi
i use to be a user of SEO moz before the change to just Moz, however i am struggling to navigate around and work on campaigns.
I need to know what steps to take methodically from setting up a campaign, keyword research, competitors and monitoring SERPs results. in addition improving the page grade reports and analysing keyword difficulty.
Whilst Moz assist you to set up some of this initially when creating the campaign i feel it doesn't seem to take you through a logical methodical step process of configuring in depth the steps of ensuring the correct settings are relevant to the campaign i.e. an outline of the steps and i need to take that follow on from each other and getting your campaign completed.
for example:
- create campaign
- keyword research
- onpage optimisation
- competitor research
- link finder analyser
- run reports that related to the info provided above
I feel lost in the features of moz whilst i can see they are highly beneficial putting them to use in a chronological order to ensure the the correct setup and make use of these tools. i.e. where to start and where to end currently i feel i can only find where to start and what i should do after that to make use of Moz fully is somewhat missing.
Thanks in advance, any links and direct appreciated, i would alsolike to possible speak to a Moz team member regarding my account setup if possible.

Hi Darren!
We do have walkthroughs that can help guide you through your setup at the link Keszi provided. We also have a live welcome webinar hosted by our Success Team each week. You can register here: http://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started/welcome-webinar
As far as correct settings go, we can only verify your campaign URL is setup the way you want it to, the other settings will be up to you to confirm.
For example if you want to track all pages within a domain, then setup a root domain URL as domain.com, this will track all pages and sub-folders for the entire site.
If you only want to track the root domain, or only a sub-domain or sub-folder. Then you would check the box in the advanced settings to "exclude all sub-domains" and you would put www.domain.com or www.domain.com/folder/
This means we would only look for rankings for that specific URL.
For competitors, we can only track the specific URL set. If they appear on Google as www.domain.com, then make sure to add them with the sub-domain.
I highly recommend signing up for the webinar as it is the only way we can provide live walkthroughs of our tools. Hopefully the other resources can help as well!

Unsolved Fintech SEO: How to Get Started
My question is how to begin developing an SEO strategy for finance and software websites as an SEO Analyst. This is two entirely different industries which have merged together into fintech and we want to start building an organic traffic roadmap as well as technical changes that come with government and finance quid-lines.

Setting up Moz Pro campaign for a subfolder
Hi, I'm just setting up my first campaign and would like some advice please. I have a website and also within it a a number of pages in a sub folder. These are technically a different business to the main website and I would like to track them separately in Moz so they can have their own keyword lists and competitors etc. How do I do this? Do I set up two separate campaigns www.site.com

www.site.com/subfolder I understand the first one might still report on the subfolder but I guess I could just ignore this. Thanks0 -

Does the Moz crawler have a static ip address?
We block AWS from crawling our site. Does the moz crawler use a static ip address that we could allow? I'm currently not able to add a campaign because Moz can't connect to our site.

When does Moz update campaign data with new timeframe ?
Hi, I joined Moz community on last week and discovered an amazing tool. I set up my first campaign and I am getting information for a timeframe that's going from 7 to 13 of March. I believe that new data for 14 to 20 of March should be available but I didn't get any update. So, when is Moz supposed to update campaign data with fresh information ? Thanks in advance for such a dumb question. Sébastien

How does MOZ assign a keyword to a page in the On Page Grades by Keyword Ranking
I'm in the beta analytics tool. In the On Page Optimization > On Page Grades by Keyword section, there is a Keyword column with a keyword assigned to each URL on my site. http://analytics.moz.com/search/on-page/572409.326269 How is the keyword that is shown here decieed upon? Is it simply based on a guess of the "best keyword" for each page based on kwp density and other factors? Can I map a new keyword to each page? or at least to my top ten most important pages? I see I can check the grade for any keyword on any page here: http://analytics.moz.com/search/manage-page-grades/572409.326269. I want to map my top ten pages to ten keywords - can I save these changes in the system so I don't have to manually check a keyword/url match each time? Shaun
