Client with business website as well as franchise site
-
I have a client who has created a Weebly web presence alongside his provided franchise website. What is my best strategy as he does not wish for the franchise site to out-perform his Weebly presence.

Excellent idea regarding the sub-domain. While not perfect it helps tie the two sites together rather than there being 2 completely separate domains.
Thank you very much Samuel and have a great day.

Hello, thanks for the question! If I understand you correctly, you want to know how to prevent company's franchisee's website from outperforming the main company's website? I'm not too familiar with Weebly, but I can offer some general thoughts.
Nutshell: Put franchisee websites "under" your own via subdomains or subdirectories.
Your website (root domain): example.com
Franchisee websites: (subdomains) franchise1.example.com and franchise2.example.com OR (subdirectories) example.com/franchise1 and example.com/franchise2
There are pros and cons to each. Subdomains tend to allow for much more variety in design and functionality because they are not usually "locked into" an overall layout. However, Google tends to view them as (almost) entirely-different websites. So, a link going to a subdomain may not "benefit" the overall root domain. However, links going to subdirectories do benefit the entire root domain but those individual sections of the site are usually locked into the overall UX.
I could go into a lot more detail, but I hope this might help!

Using the Onpage Grader for Local Business websites
Hey Guys, Curious how people use the onpage grader for optimizing pages for local businesses specifically, I'm interested if people use keywords with or without a geo modifier since adding a geo modifier will prevent more natural writing to increase the score. If you don't use a geo modifier do you have some general rules of the city that needs to be in the H1 and first paragraph etc. Any tips for using the page grader for local businesses would be great Thanks!

Proper SEO structure for Franchise/ Franchisee websites
Hi Neighbors, Franchise website design and development can be difficult, there’s no doubt about it. I had to find the right balance between a unique and unified brand identity, and a localized experience that accurately reflects the individual franchisees and their efforts. Due to the many benefits, I have structured the to read _domain.com/location _ domain.com = TLD /location = subfolder (location page) I have also built a customized CMS (e.g. Drupal) and have given each location access to manage their location page (subfolder). To accommodate local SEO optimization, franchisees have complete control in terms of optimizing their location page (subfolder). Title tags, meta description, Alt tags, etc... Will any local optimization performed in the subfolder (location page) be stiffened because it was not done in the TLD but in the subfolder ?

Multilanguage Website
Hi, I am responsible for managing a multilingual website. I have two questions regarding SEO, based on the structure of the website. Question 1. At the moment we have one website for UK English and one for US English .com/en-gb/ .com/en-us/ Which would be the pros and cons of merging the two website in one? Question 2. For the German website they moved it under .de dominion, I think it would be better from an SEO perspective to have it as the Italian and French, under .com/de Which would be the pros and cons of migrating German website under .com/de? Thanks

Is this website optimized? Parallax web design for SEO.
Friends, I'm hoping to get some feedback on optimizing a website. It's a parallax web design so there's really only one title tag and meta description. I don't want to stuff the on-page content with keywords that don't flow with the copy/branding. What are some additional opportunities to optimize this website? It's not ranking in SERPs and has a low DA. Here's the URL, please take a look and let me know what I could be doing - https://saintst.com/ Thanks!

Choosing the best domain for international website section
Hi, i made a question before but the answer not clarified me yet: https://moz.com/community/q/which-is-the-best-xx-or-com-xx-in-general-and-for-seo I mark as answered inadvertently. I want to know what you think about choosing ".es" or ".com.es" for create a section for Spain and redirect them from the homepage. Same for Mexico.

I think that is not so important for SEO, but i am not completely sure about other factors.
Big marks like Toshiba use:
http://www.toshiba**.es**
http://www.toshiba**.com.mx** and Cocacola:
http://www.cocacola**.es**
http://www.coca-cola**.com.mx** ".es" for spain and ."com.mx" for mexico?0 -

Structured Data Schema for Local business
Hi Where should you add ‘local business’ schema, the 'Home Page', ‘About Us’ page, 'Contact Us' page etc etc ? I presume the page with the address such as 'contact us' page but if say the address is on every page say in a footer for example is it ok to add address schema to every page ? I know someone who did this and havn't got any rich snippets out of it so presume best to focus on one primary page such as 'contact' or 'about' type pages ? Also: If your business serves multiple areas can you add schema for the other areas too or is it only for your primary business address ?

For example if your business address is listed in say ‘Wandsworth’ but you visit & serve customers in ‘Clapham’, ‘Balham’ & other regions of South West London, anyway of adding local business address structured data to your site for these areas too (to help target local searches including these other regions) Many Thanks

Reconsideration request failed - New website?
I am looking at website with MOZ PA 34. The website belong to a shop in Manhattan. Simple shop, simple man, not one that do tricks. Reconsideration request failed twice! Never happened to me in the past.. Google ignored some domains in the two disavow files we submitted. All of these domains are asking $ to remove links that as much as I know we didn't even bought 😞 My Question Can I create a brand new domain/website and transfer the PA juice WITHOUT the bad links?
