We have 302 redirect links on our forum that point to individual posts. Should we add a rel="nofollow" to these links?
-
Moz is showing us that we have a HUGE amount of 302 redirects. These are coming from our community forum.
- Forum URL: https://www.foodbloggerpro.com/community/
- Example thread URL: https://www.foodbloggerpro.com/community/viewthread/322/
- Example URL that points to a specific reply: https://www.foodbloggerpro.com/community/viewreply/1582/
- The above link 302 redirects to this URL: https://www.foodbloggerpro.com/community/viewthread/322/#1582
My two questions would be:
- Do you think we should we add rel=nofollow to the specific reply URLs?
- If possible, should we make those redirects 301 vs. 302?
Screencast attached.

Hey there,
It really depends, do you want to remove the links from Google ? if so then a 301 redirect will passes 90-99% of power / link juice to the URL you point it to plus tells Google this URL no longer exist at that location and therefore drops it from its index. If you do not want to drop the URLS within the index then a 302 is a good way to temporarily keep them there if you are going to reinstate them.

Reciprocal links and nofollow tag
What happens if I link to a site using the nofollow tag and they are linking back to me with a dofollow link? Will it give me as much power and link juice as if it was a one way link (to me) or will Google discount the link because it's reciprocal?

Best action to take for "error" URLs?
My site has many error URLs that Google webmaster has identified as pages without titles. These are URLs such as: www.site.com/page???1234 For these URLs should I: 1. Add them as duplicate canonicals to the correct page (that is being displayed on the error URLs) 2. Add 301 redirect to the correct URL 3. Block the pages in robots.txt Thanks!

Jigoshop "add to cart" producing 302 redirects
Hi, My site is throwing thousands of 302 redirect warnings on crawl for the add to cart process in my Wordpress/Jigshop online store. A sample url the crawl references is: | | https://morrowsnuts.com/product/the-best-of-the-best-8-oz/?add-to-cart=6117&_n=9773652185 | | I have read several other threads here that are similar in nature but haven't discovered a way to eliminate this. I am a store owner and with only partial technology skills and I don't know what to try next. I posted the problem with Jigoshop but I am not sure if they will provide a solution since this was the first time they heard of this. The site is Morrow's Nut House located at: https://morrowsnuts.com Thanks in advance for any direction or suggestions for me on next steps, John

302 to 301 redirect
Our site has quite a few 302 redirects that really ought to be 301's. Our IT department is really busy so the question is, given that the 302's have probably been in place for years, is it worth changing them to 301's now? Thanks

How is a dash or "-" handled by Google search?
I am targeting the keyword AK-47 and it the variants in search (AK47, AK-47, AK 47) . How should I handle on page SEO? Right now I have AK47 and AK-47 incorporated. So my questions is really do I need to account for the space or is Google handling a dash as a space? At a quick glance of the top 10 it seems the dash is handled as a space, but I just wanted to get a conformation from people much smarter then I at seomoz. Thanks, Jason
