I have the trial of MOZ right now but the open site explorer hasn't updated since Dec 4th

What do you do to get the lasted information?
-
Ray is correct our next index is scheduled for this week (Jan 28th).
CJ5 - I apologize for the delays we've been seeing with our index, and please know we'd love to get you fresh data ASAP. We had some unforeseen issues early in January that led to this delay. We are working our hardest to get you complete, fresh, relevant link metrics. I do apologize for any issues you have in the meantime!

If you're looking for fresher results, try the Fresh Web Explorer tool (http://freshwebexplorer.moz.com/). Open Site Explorer derives most of it's value from looking at the history of a website: cumulative links, what goes into getting a site it's domain authority, domain trust, etc. It's very useful for digging into how 3 or 4 competitors got to where they are now, and areas that you could target as well. That being the case its index update isn't as mission critical.
If you're trying to find information on your own site and it's brand new, you'll probably be better served by using the webmaster tools available at the engines for the first month or so. Can you expand on what type of results you're trying to achieve with the OSE and maybe I could give you more specific guidance or alternate methods / tools. Cheers!

Like Ray said, Moz has been slow in updating the index. I'm a subscriber and I'm getting quite disappointed by this. The December index was delayed from when they initially said it would be, and then this January index has now been delayed twice. Just FYI.

The Moz index is usually refreshed once a month, however, it's been longer than that since the last update this time around. Moz has a big index update schedule for the 28th, I believe.

Backlinks aren't shown
Hi, my site has 15 backlinks from sites with 50-90 da. and only 4 of them are shown on the moz's backlink checker, While on google console and on different platforms, I do see most of them. All of the links are dofollow. I even tried the link tracking list and all the domains are shown as not linking to my domain, while they are. Any idea what is happening? Thank you.

Moz's Spam Score - WWW v Non-WWW
Given that going with a www or non-www TLD is a coin-toss in Google's eyes, I'm curious as to how this relates to Moz's spam score (if at all)? Specifically, we've got a client who has several sites across a number of industry verticals, and for some of them, the www and the non-www versions of their websites are both in play (sigh). Obviously we'll sort that out shortly, but my question is why, when we put both TLDs into Open Site Explorer does the www and the non-www version of the sites get different spam scores? With some of their sites (www v non-www) the difference in the spam score might be a 2 for the www v a 3 for the non-www. But in others it might be 0 for the www v 8 for the non-www! And it's unclear which one is the 'real' spam score, as there seems no rhyme or reason to the results. Anyway, any thoughts from the room would be appreciated.

Open Site Explorer Question
Hello Mozers. It has been a while 🙂 OK - I run an open site explorer report, toggle over to 'Linking Domains' because I am more interested in the number of actual websites that link to my client rather than the number of links my client has (and of course what websites are linking) and although I have been doing this for years there is one little thing I am a bit confused about. The report shows (from left to right) the 'Linking Root Domain", the "Domain Authority" for the linking domain and then the 'Number of Linking Root Domains" for each 'Linking Root Domain" My question is (rather stupid, I am sure) is the number of linking root domains for each linking root domain the number of websites linking to them OR the number of websites to which they link?

How quickly does Domain Authority and Page Authority update
Hi, I think I read somewhere that domain authority and page authority are updated twice a month - is this true? The reason I ask is because I had a very successful content piece released last month (around 20th May) that received some great links (mainly to a landing page, but also many links to my home page) from highly respected sources such as Time.com, Spin.com, RollingStone.com, DailyMail.co.uk... However, my domain authority hasn't changed at all, and the page authority for the page is only 47, which I was hoping would be higher for a page that received millions of visitors, 100k+ Facebook likes, and a wealth of sites linking in. Also, in OpenSiteExplorer, when checking against my home page, it says there are no Just-Discovered links for the last 60 days - again, I'm puzzled, as my home page has been referenced by many leading news sites. Many thanks
