Is Google Knowledge Graph in Other Countries?
-
Hello,
I have a website that receives international traffic from all over the world. A lot of our keywords that we go after unfortunately show up on google knowledge graph.
I'm curious to know if KG is showing up in the google search engines for other countries for the keywords that my site goes after.
Is there anyway to actually perform a test to see? Thanks!
-
Sure. Use a VPN to place your IP in the country you want to test, create a new browser instance with the language set to the target countries language (or language within that country you want to test), and then search the location specific version of Google, i.e. google.co.uk instead of google.com.
While not all inclusive of what users will be seeing from within that country, that should give you at least a more informative snapshot. Cheers!

Getting indexed by Google scholar
Often my Google Scholar alerts result in exactly what I think they will: scholarly articles published in academic journals. However, today I got this completely non-scholarly article https://www.t-nation.com/training/the-exact-reps-that-make-you-grow and I have no idea why Google Scholar is indexing this site. I've read up on how to get indexed by Google Scholar, and this website doesn't seem to have the necessary requirements. I'm curious for anyone whose clients or industry need to get indexed by Google Scholar, what has worked for you?

Best proxy service to browse the Google from different countries to check the ranking
Hi Moz community, We need to check our website/pages rankings for random keywords at random timings in different countries. Beside checking in search console, we would like to check in browser. But Google now is not allowing us to browse the results of other country. I would like to use best proxy service to browse Google from different location to check how our pages are ranking & fluctuating. Please suggest on this. Thanks

Search results vary in chrome vs other browsers even in Incognito mode: Google's stand?
Hi all, We use incognito mode or private browsing to check the Actual results which are not impacted by previous history, location (sometimes), etc. Even we browse this way, we can see the different search results. Why would this happen? What's Google's stand on this? What is the actual way to browse to get the unbiased results for certain search queries? I have experienced that Chrome will rank our own websites bit higher compared to the other browsers even in incognito mode. Thanks

G is for Google
So if you haven't heard already - Larry Page released a statement regarding the newly founded company: Alphabet. Crazy to think that the name hadn't even been used before for one but most importantly throughout his write up - there doesn't seem to be much clarity on what it is going to accomplish. What are your ideas/thoughts moz heads? https://abc.xyz/ - check it out. /Chenzo

Pros and Cons Google Site Search
I'm having a hard time finding the actual pros and cons of implementing Google Site Search on a website. Thoughts? Any data on bounce rate of internal SERP because UX doesn't look like the website? I know you can customize, but most examples I've seen still look pretty different from the stie's native style. Any other cons? Data issues, etc?

Googl travel dates
I have just noticed, while checking where our hotel clients rank for certain keywords, and noticed a panel on the left hand side called Travel dates. There was a check in and check out option which could be populated manually or by using a drop down calendar. But there's no submit button or anything like that. What is this panel for, and can any benefit be had from it, because from what I can see it doesn't actually do anything (unless it's not displaying properly on my computer?

Google Places - Overcoming a geographical disadvantage
We have done some work on the Google Place entry for this website: http://www.royalhoteliow.co.uk/ We have spent a lot of time ensuring we have consistent address information, to make sure we have a good number of citations, and have worked with the staff at the hotel to ensure that there is a regular stream of reviews coming into a variety of websites that we know are used by Google. However.... Our target searches are 'Isle of Wight Hotels' and 'Isle of Wight Hotel'. If you do a Google map search for 'Isle of Wight', it drops a pin in the middle of the Island, which is 30 miles by 20! The main areas for hotels on the Isle of Wight (dictated by tourism), are about 15 miles from where Google percieves the Isle of Wight is, in the coastal towns. So it seems that no matter how hard we try, in terms of citations and reviews, GP is always going to prioritise those close to the middle of the area. Anyone got experience of a similar issue, or got any suggestions?
