Very Disappointed. Finally an Index and No change in my PA or DA
-
My competitors and I are advertising in the same way and have good quality external links. Open Site Explorer shows an appropriate PA and DA for my competitors and shows their external links. Waited for what seemed like forever and after all that time, nothing. Not one external link was found. And yet http://openlinkprofiler.org/ shows everything just as I would expect.
Probably gonna bail with moz.pro. I'm very disapointed.
Probably gonna bail on moz.local as well because it's been over two weeks and my phone number still hasn't changed. Not to mention, all it really did was tell me what was wrong. Hardly updated anything out there in the wild. Told me it was updating all the time but the same ol things are tagged day after day week after week. Changed the darn directories myself because moz.local can't do it and then moz.local won't update when I update director listings myself.
Give me some reasons to stay. The lack of timely anything makes me feel like I'm wasting my money.

Hi David
Sorry to hear your metrics have not moved. Usually if you do not see a change in your DA, it means we haven't discovered new links from high authority sites. Just so you know, here's how we compile our index:
- We grab the most recent index.
- We take the top 10 billion URLs with the highest MozRank (with a fixed limit on some of the larger domains).
- We start crawling from the top down until we've crawled 90,000,000,000 pages (which is about 35% the amount in Google's index).
Therefore, if the site is not linked to by one of these seed URLs (or one of the URLs linked to by them in the next update) then it won't show up in our index.
Other tools, such as Webmaster Tools, Ahrefs, and Majestic will alway show more link data as they target the quantity of links, while OSE focuses more on quality and Domain Authority. It’s best to use all the tools you can to obtain a full backlink profile.
Keep in mind you do not have to have a paid subscription for us to crawl your links. We are crawling constantly and your subscription only unlocked more reporting options and access to see more data. You can monitor your DA without a subscription for free.
What you can do is search the sites you are building your links on. Look at their domain authority and see if they are considered to be influential for your links. If you are not building new links and growing the amount of linking root domains, then you will not see any change of your DA. Compare your site with your competitors, look for the # of linking root domains, # of linking C blocks, and total links. Take a look at the DA of their linking root domains and see if you can build your links to those sites as well. The more, the better!
For Moz Local. I was able to force the update to change the number. This has now been submitted.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Sorry. I can't find the "set up campaign correctly" button in the settings.
Also, I would expect a ticket system if there was really an alternative to this forum but alas on the link you gave me, there is a link to contact the Help folks. Not sure if that's what you're referring to but I'll give it shot.
Thanks for listening.

If I was a betting man I would bet £10 you haven't set the campaign correctly. Anyway rather than asking questions here, you should contact the support directly starting here: https://moz.com/help/contact

Backlinks are not indexed in moz
I have been working for the past few months on building quality backlinks manually. I decided to take a moz trial membership but Moz doesn't my backlinks. I added Link tracking list of about 27 high DA that backlinks to my website https://multiapkclub.com and even all of that shows 'link doesn't point to my website' Is this some kind of bug because this type of links are indexed for moz themselves

Has anyone found a way to change the Google page linked to a Moz local account AFTER it was purchased?
Before realized that the Moz listing should have the correct GMB account connected to it, a few local listings were purchased. Is there a way to change the GMB page it is pulling data from and sending out to directories? Thanks!

Updated validation changes
I want to submit a listing, but the validation screen indicated Google has an incorrect phone number (which was only listed as an alternate contact number). I've removed the number from the Google My Business page, but the correction is not listed in the Moz Local Validation page. What should I do to get the updated Google listing to be recognized by the Moz validation process? Thanks!
