How to regain Facebook Page Authority - For page badly affected with spam users
-
Case- company Facebook page has more than 10K users and almost 50% are spam. When this happens, edge rank of the page is badly affected (because spam users are not interested in your shared content so they hide you/remove you from feed and of course never engage).
Not to mention Facebook released an update end of 2014 where page will have less visibility anyway compared to user updates.
Overall the Page updates get very less exposure / impressions
Now only solution is to remove this huge no of spam users one by one or by an API.
Question - Does removing the spam users regain the authority of the page ? Does that solve the overall issue ?
What are the other solution to fix the situation ?
Thanks.

Good Morning!
I feel like it might be important to discuss how you acquired so many "spam" fans in the first place. I assume these fans were not generated naturally? If so, you could prevent this in the future by being more selective in your ad targeting.
While the removal process will undoubtedly be slow and might not have a direct impact on the "authority" of your page, it will help increase your organic reach. When you have a high number of disengaged ("fake") fans that do not interact with any of your posts, your organic reach will suffer greatly. However, by cleaning up your fan base and reaching more fans who are actually interested with that you have to say, engagement as a percentage will increase - sending positive signals to Facebook - and your reach will increase because of this. It is always better to have a smaller number of legitimate fans that a high number of disengaged fans just for the sake of having x amount of followers. Happy fans = happy Facebook.
Hope this helps!

Good or Bad - Google reviews from the one IP?
Hello, our client wants to place an iPad in their foyer where they invite customers to review via Google / Facebook. My concern is that having too many reviews from the same IP (and esp the business' IP) will look suspicious to Google (be it now, or in the future when the algorithm changes). Do you think Google collect the IP's of reviews? Any thoughts?

The Rules Of A Facebook Group
Hi there, I'm currently looking to set up a Facebook Group for an Education Recruitment Business I am working with. We're setting up the Facebook group to foster a sense of community and collaboration with our current teachers. I'm currently in the process of drawing up a list of rules and regulations for our first group. The obvious ones are there such as no profanity, no spamming (can't stand spam - especially those fake Ray Ban ads!) but there I would really love some other group rule suggestions especially when it comes to users promoting our competition as education recruitment is a very competitive sector. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, James Miller - Digital Marketing Executive

Facebook Name Change and Effect on SEO
Hey Mozzers! Trying this one again as my timing was probably pretty bad with Easter. Working with a company who has about 20K followers on Facebook and about 500 backlinks to their current facebook page. They want to change the name of the page to better reflect the business. I need to advise on this but I'm not sure of and how it will effect them. Any one had any experience in this area?

Facebook Share from personal wall to fan page
Is it possible to share a post from someone's personal FB wall to a company fan page if they have the permissions set to allow this? I often get a message that a share was denied and I'm not sure if shares from personal to business fan pages are always denied or if this is controlled by the person's privacy settings.

How to coordinate blog, facebook and twitter.
I have a small law firm with a website including a blog, as well as accounts with Twitter and FB. I usually write a blog on the website then reference and link to that blog from twitter and FB. I also do short blogs that are basically links to other interesting articles about my field, and link to those as well. Is this helpful or correct from he perspective of SEO for the website? Is there a particular way to do this? I have much to learn so any comments are welcome. Many thanks.

Whats more beneficial - Google+1 on your website or Your Google+ Page
Hi From an SEO perspective what is the most beneficial getting +1 of your homepage or trying to get customers to click on your actual Google+ Page - or are they linked in some way? As the importance that Google are/will place on this cannot be ignored My concerns regarding Google+ are that I believe in the UK at least, most active consumers are not on Google+ (not sure what its like in the USA) many may not even have a google account, especially of their email is with the likes of hotmail or aol. The people who are using Google+ are other companies, web pros, marketing pros etc and not your target audience in many cases
