Disavow question

Hi there,
I have 2 website's, and one of them will be redirected to the other. For both I need to do a disavow list, but I don't know how is better. I should make only one disavow list for the main site, and include the link from the site that I will redirect, or make a list for each website?

Whichever site is being redirected, make sure that you prepare a disavow file for that specific site. Reason being, you're redirecting all of the links to a new site, so you want to make sure the links are stopped where they started that you want to disavow.
I would also make sure that you do a proper backlink audit and properly assess any potential harmful backlinks. From there, make sure you do the same for the new website, but it shouldn't be the same if links from the old site aren't appearing in the new site's backlink profile. Also, read Google's Move a site with URL changes guide and assess the pages with the most backlinks and optimized anchor text for risk assessment.
From this update, I would update any potential good backlinks you find:
- Listings & citations
- Partnerships
- Sponsorships
- Relevant or authoritative mentions

I think you should prepare the file for the main site and then use it for both sites. I have done the same for my site earlier and the result was far better than i expected.

I know its a silly question. but how do i get the best backlinks.
I am new to seo. Every where i see seo people are talking about nearly all the links are bad. I have read everything but cant seem to figure out how to get good backlinks. And what kind of backlinks will actually help my site. I used blackhat stuff in past that really made my life miserable. if you know what i mean. can someone guide me personaly 😛 . (kidding) i know you guys are very busy . but if you could may be tell me which direction to go , it will put a smile on my face.

A few questions about unnatural links
i have just had another reconsideration request rejected by Google. In my rejection message they have given me 3 examples of unnatural links, but two of them I have had nothing to do with. My website is http://www.seoco.co.uk Here are the 3 links they mentioned: http://www.pyjamapeople.com/articles/authors/107/David-Eaves http://www.timeandattendance.co.uk/blog/?tag=access-control http://www.worx.at/blog/und-punkt/ the 1st one is just a website that republished one of my articles, I never submitted there or anything. Do I need to contact every single website that republished one of my articles and get those removed? Are they not classed as natural? Also, the page is not even cached by Google, why are they telling me to get rid of links that are not even in their index? The 2nd link is a client site and is definitely unnatural, I removed my link from the main part of the site a while ago but the blog footer was not updated, I will take care of that one. The 3rd link is a totally natural blogroll link that I had nothing to do with. What do you think I should do about it? Should I mention to Google on my next reconsideration request that it is in fact natural, or should I just bite the bullet and get it taken down? Backlinks From Scraper Sites - Should I Disavow Them?
I'm going through all the links (hopefully) to my website and I've found so many links from site scrapers. For instance: http://www.fzccg.com/cmsteam/dvbbs/boke.asp?zkhod76681.showtopic.148760.html ... which links to my site with anchor text "abercrombie uk How To Change Your Wiper Blades" It is surely not realistic to think that I can contact all the scraper site owners. So what should I do with this kind of links?

Hi SEOmoz Friends, good day! I am hoping we could these following questions: Why we had 1000+ errors; consist of diff errors (page duplicate title, missing meta desc, too many links, title element too long,404 errors,redirect errors) while raven tools have only 100+ errors which is meta desc error Are those 1000+ errors from moztool are really significant? How to fix each of the error and what will be the result? we tried some way Meta Desc - provided meta desc 404 error - provide live links dup page title - change the other page's title - will it affect the seo ranking of the page? we believe its yes, so is it necessry to fix the error? title element too long - we understand that some of the pages have too long title, to fix the error we need to change the title to shorter ones, but we are afraid if it will affect the seo ranking, just like the previous q too many links - we understand that these links are from the submission we made previously, how will we fix this error? Linkbuilding strategy for website development firm... some questions...
Hi there: I own a website development and internet marketing business. We began providing onpage optimization as a natural extension of our website design services for our clients. I'm now personally working on the backlinks for our site, and I have a question for someone with more insight than I currently possess: You folks are probably aware that many web design agencies post footer links in their client's site, with some sort of anchor text to the effect of "website designed by Blankety Blank..." I've read that these types of sitewide footer links are probably a wash, in terms of linkbuilding value. (Thoughts anyone?) My best sense is that they help a little, but not a lot. Which led me to my next stratagem, which I'd like some feedback on the merits of... I'm thinking of offering my clients a slight price reduction in exchange for a dedicated page on their site for attribution. It wouldn't be pure self-promotion in nature; really just a brief description of tools used to build the site and a backlink. It could be part of a pre-existing "partners" page on the site, if client has one, currently. (Some of ours do...) The net result of this would be a single backlink from the main body content of client's page. Is this a smart move? I'm wondering what others think...

Reciprocal Link URL Question
I've been analyzing my competition and found some great directories with High DAs that require the Reciprocal code to be on the same domain as the submitted link . When I went to my competitor's website, the reciprocal link is not there. Does he/she put the link on their page, than have directory verify the code, and then remove the link? If anyone fully understands how this works, please let me know.
