Page Layout Updates and Mobile Pages with Ads

I have been trying to do some research on the Page Layout Algorithm and Top Heavy Ads and much of what I read does not mention about mobile pages as apposed to desktop. I am curious if the Page Layout updates can be effected by mobile pages as well and if there is any good articles on this subject.
Also is this Algorithm been incorporated into its regular algorithm or do we still have to wait for refreshes to see the impact?

Thanks man it does help. Do you think the Page Layout Update is integrated now into the mobile Friendly Update and are they refreshing as they do or is it now part of the algorithm?

If I remember right, that update was refreshed in February of last year and is now more heavily focused on providing the best user experience possible with little to no ads at the top of your content. This affects both desktop and mobile.
With all the changes as of late, such as Mobile Friendly Update, it's more important than ever that developers and SEOs read the Web Fundamentals from Google Developers. Everything you need to know about page layouts and design from Google are in this document. I would take the time to read, learn, and understand it, especially with your team. It also discusses mobile user experiences and SEO.

Hi, Should the front page target a mixture of the most important keywords for the whole site (on page optimization)

Or should we choose 1 or a few that are extra important/natural and optimize for this?
Each important keyword already has it´s own dedicated page (single keyword optimized)
...so either way the front page would "compete" against another internal page on a specific keyword, but maybe that´s the wrong way of looking at this?
Almost all external backlinks are pointing to the front page so I guess that´s the real strength of the front page but it does not provide in depth good value for a specific keyword. Thanks!/Anders0 -
Noindex pages being indexed
Hi all Wondering if anyone could offer a pointer on a problem i am having please. I am developing an affiliate store and to prevent problems with duplicate content I have added name="robots" content="NOINDEX,FOLLOW" /> to all the product pages to avoid google penalties. However, Google appears to be indexing product pages. When I do a site: search I see a few hundred product pages in the engine. This is odd as the site has always had noindex on these pages. Even viewing the cache of the indexed page shows the noindex meta tag to be in place. I'm at a loss as to why these pages are being indexed and could do with removing them asap to stop any penalties on the site. Many thanks for any help.

Hello, Do we need optimize on-page for mobile version, such as: How about title tag, description tag? Should mobile have another sitemap or not? Does google penalty my webpages mobi vs desktop are duplicated content? Thanks for any your advice!

How to fix Duplicate Page Title
I have so many Duplicate Page Title issue on my website. www.soobumimphotography.com Though I had to use NAME + Area + Photographer on every title page so ended up something like this San Antonio Sports Photographer | Soobumim Photography : San Antonio Wedding Photographers | Soobumim Photography http://www.soobumimphotography.com/chicago-cubs-at-houston-astros-mlb-soobumim-photography/ What's the best way to fix this problem? Moving Top rank Page urls off my Home page and nesting them on one page? Good idea?
I am basically trying to cut down the amount of links on my home page to make it less eye boggling and move stuff around. So i have of my Urls on my home page that lead to pages that rank very well within google. My questions is can i remove those urls to a separate page to group them together and then showcase that one link to that page on my home page. Is that a good idea or i am going to loose my link juice and position in search? The physical urls on those pages wont change at all.

E-Commerce product pages that have multiple skus with unique pages.
Hey Guys, With the recent farm/panda update from google i'm at a cross roads as to how I should optimize product pages for a project i'm working on for a client. My client sells tires and one particular tire brand can have up to 15 models and each model can have up to 30 sizes. IE: 'Michelin Pilot Sport Cup' comes in 15 different sizes. Each size will have it's unique product page and description bringing me to my question. Should I use the same description on every size? I do plan on writting unique content for each tire model however i'm not sure if I should do it for every size. After all the tire model description is the same for every size, each size doesn't carry any unique characteristics that I can describe. Thanks in advance!

Woah, my A-grade optimized pages that were on the first page have all vanished outside the top 50 in Google... is this Panda?
Yep as mentioned, I had some pages hit the top ten pretty quickly after ensuring they were A-grade for pretty uncompetitive keywords however, today, all bar 2 have just vanished from the top 50! All were ranking in Google.co.uk and I know we were predicting the Panda update to hit soon but WOW! My client is understandably a little upset, what on earch do I tell him and what should I do about it? Cheers! jT
