Excuse my ignorance, I suspect this is an easy issue...but at the the top of each of my blog posts have what you see above....the "No Comments yet" tab is showing as a broken link 404 error...?Why? And how to fix?Thank you

Hey!
I am not familiar with that app so I can't speak to it. I am willing to bet it's an issue with their crawl, because again, I am not seeing anything on my end other than the issues I listed above in my quick scan.
Does Check My Links have anymore documentation to how they crawl 404s? I can't imagine it's any different than other crawlers, but again, not familiar so I can't say either way.

Yoast is fine for sitemap generation - that's totally cool - I was just saying that usually redirect issues from crawls are because of your internal links, sitemaps, or canonical tags - just something to look into, doesn't mean it's your sitemap.
Let me know if this makes sense!

BTW on 301's... I let Yoast SEO generate sitemaps? Should I still check them somehow?

I am using "Check My Links"...an app...it shows the "No Comments Yet" tab at top of blog post as a 404 error? However, when I clck it it just takes me to comments at bottom of opage..perhaps it is just reading it as 404 and it is not?

Where are you seeing this error? I did a ScreamingFrog crawl and I am not seeing that issue. I do, however, see a few 404s...

Let me know where you are seeing that 404 and if the URL http://www.seadwellers.com/taking-great-photographs-underwater/#respond is being returned as the error URL, because I am not seeing it on my end.

Howdy Moz! So our agency has been around for long enough to have a few sites we've built that have our credit in their footer resulting in a site wide link. Mostly just our name. We've heard that Google does not particularly like site wide links, should we go through and remove some of these old links?

Can Javascript Links Be Used to Reduce Links per Page?
We are trying to reduce the number of links per page, so for the low-value footer links we are considering coding them as javascript links. We realize Google can read java, but the goal is to reduce level of importance assigned to those internal links. Would this be a valid approach? What on-site issue could be causing Moz to not detect internal links?

Reducing number crawl-able links?
Hello, I just like to ask for best practice when it comes to reduce number of internal links on a site with a mega menu. Since the mega menu lists all categories and all their subcategories it creates a problem when all categories are linking to all categories directly.. Would the method below reduce the number of links and preventing the link juice flowing directly from category to category? [(link built with JavaScript and the html5 "data-" attribute) Thinking of using these links to categories in the menu not directly below the parent category.](#)

When should I dofollow a link?
I know I should have all my affiliate links as nofollow but when should I dofollow a link? When will it HELP me to have a dofollow link? Right now - all my links are nofollow because I haven't figured out how to have nofollow and dofollow in the same blog post. Any info appreciated!

Dealing with updating blog posts
I run a travel and culture blog which means that I write about a lot of upcoming events which recur each year. Usually I title (and slug) the page with the event name and date. When it comes to update the article the next year, sometimes it's as little as changing the date, other times more has changed and it needs to be substantially re-written. Until now, what I've done is update the title, content, and then re-posted (sometimes altering the slug where it's needed to be done). Sometimes it works fine and Google keeps me ranking well, but other times the changes dont get such a great response. I have these options (as far as I can see). Which do you think is best? 1. To create a new article each year and put a message at the start of the previous one to say, click here to read about the 2012 event 2. To continue what I'm doing updating, changing the slug, and re-posting (ie changing the date). 3. To write a new article and insert a 301 redirect. I need to make sure the article appears as a new article in my RSS feed and also on the homepage. Look forward to your ideas! Thanks

Using a more relevant brand title for blog
I'm a newbee here so I appologize in advance for asking a question that might already be aswered ( i looked I promise). The question is this, I've been fiddling with the title tags and came upon the need to make a decision about separating our blog brand to be more specific to it's content. We're a moving company, our primary website talks about services and is branded with our name (%page_name% | 2 Brothers Moving & Delivery Portland Oregon), our blog is a work in progress "Moving Guide" (%post_title% | Portland Moving Guide). Should I stick with the standard brand name on the blog or call it something keyword specific like above? As a side question what do you all think about my titles in the first place?
