Is it possible to rank a RE-DIRECT in Google ?
-
Hi Guys
Some help here please would be much appreciated.
I have created a super URL re-direct to my Amazon product page.
So my question is If I spend time and money build SEO links to my re-direct URL will it still rank high in Google or does Google NOT like or rank re-direct URLs ???
Thanks

I see. But you'll be redirecting to your Amazon page regardless with your current setup as described, so the opportunity for leakage is present at that stage as well.
Again, creating a site and populating it with products that you control is a much better method to both ranking and presenting the products you want to display to visitors. Cheers!

Thank you Ryan
Much appreciated for your help.
The reason we wanted to rank our re-direct is because if we drive traffic to our amazon product page we may get leakage and people buy our competitor products instead
-
Yes. Google wants to rank the destination content, not the redirect URL. You could create a static site that links to your individual products and beings to rank, but trying to get a redirect URL to rank will in all likelihood be wasted effort. Cheers!

the te-direct goes to our amazon product page , so because the re-direct super URL goes to our amazon landing page do you think it will be difficult to rank ?
-
Is it a 301 redirect? You won't rank that page as all the rank will flow to destination page.

How to rank for a keyword
Hi guys, I'm looking to rank a new blog for a search term which we currently already rank #1 for. I want to create a blog which provides a better solution to a searchers query and knock our current #1 page for this new one. Is there a way to do this simply without losing the real-estate the currently ranked #1 page has already accumulated? Or is just a matter of working on this new blog to find it's own way to the top? Thanks in advance, James

I am lost at where to go. My optimization rating is 95% + and rankings are on pages 4+. I would like to know what I should do to increase my rankings.
My site is Glare-Guard.com. My Domain Authority has not moved from 17 in a long time. i have done everything to optimize the different pages. I have 90%+ ratings for the various pages, yet I am still not even close to the first page for many of the keywords I am looking to rank for. Do you have any tips or ideas? Should I try to rewrite my content and add more information? I am just at a loss for where I should go to get the right traffic to my site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rankings dropped - Why?
At the end of November a client site dropped significantly in the rankings. The drop effected almost all the keyphrases we monitor. Historically the homepage has always ranked higher than the sub-pages - however now it seems Google is no longer ranking the home page, and instead ranking the sub-pages, just far far lower down. Any ideas what could cause this?

Aggressive Loss in Rankings
I recently launched a website and used local directories, web directories and guest blogging as a means of getting links to the site. Within 60 days the site was ranking on the first page for a highly competitive keyword. It was hovering on the first page for about two weeks before it plummeted in ranking to near 200. I am not finding any crawl errors or duplicate content issues on the site. Could my links have caused this massive decrease in rankings?

Apache not directing to 404?
I have a PHP website that produces an actual page when /index.php/GarbageURL/MoreDirectories/Page.suffix/DirectoryAgain is typed in a browser. Why? How? For what purpose? The content and HTML is produced in the source, but the images and css are broken due to the location of the file, obvi. I don't understand what this default tendency is for.
