Finding list of keywords and frequency
-
Hello,
We have been using SEO Quake to produce a list of keywords and their frequency and prominence for any given page.Is there a way of achieving something similar with Moz tools?
Thanks

Good Morning Ian
Oh i see ! in that case then yes Screaming Frog would be a good way of seeing what pages have been optimised for what target keywords. Quake probably too although i havnt used that myself for a long while. Also for a quick browser based view of what a page is optimised for is SEOXRay if its still going. As well as Jasons advice to look at OpenExplorer backlink anchor text profiles, although for new sites are unlikely have developed much of a backlink profile and OE wont have indexed all backlinks/pages so i would still concentrate on looking at the on-page optimisation.
All Best

When looking for the keywords that are being targeted for a given page or site, I'd recommend checking out the anchor text metrics in Open Site Explorer. This can help to give some insight into what keywords that site is interested in pursuing, but other than the On-Page Grader, we don't have a tool that is designed to pull keyword instances out of a particular URL.
I hope this helps! Stay awesome

Thanks Dan,
I was considering checking pages to find out what words and phrases they are trying to rank for first, and then researching these words to determine if they rank well and would be good for our clients.
Before we subscribed to MOZ trial we would use Google keyword planner, Screaming Frog or SEO Quake to find out what words were being used in any particular site.
Would that be a good way to continue?
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,
The Moz on-page grader will grade a page for a given keyword and provide a breakdown of important page elements that contain the keyword, and indeed if theres too much keyword usage as well as providing helpful insights and advice in regard to keyword usage for said page elements.
Overall a more holistic and more thorough approach for on-page optimisation than simply looking at just frequency and prominence.
So, unless your looking to carry out specific testing in regard to frequency and prominence, Moz on page grader should provide you with better information & guidance.
Hope this helps
All Best
Dan

Correct Moz Settings for Tracked Keywords Summary
Hi,For some reason, on my tracked keywords summary page, the URL shown to the right of each keyword appears to default to my homepage and not the page I want that keyword to rank on. How do I resolve this? I've tried looking around but can't see how to change it so that the correct URL is shown against the correct keyword. Many thanks! Bob

A difficult keyword displays a difficulty of 3, why?
I´m new to Moz and I was using the keyword analysis tool. When I put a generic term for my country (cheap phones, buy samsung galaxy, etc.) which is obviously one of the most wanted and competitive keywords, MOZ displays a difficulty level of 3 and an opportunity of 100, indicating it´s easy to rank for it, when the main competitors are big transnational companies. Why is this? What do you suggest? Thank you!

How are keywords assigned to the On Page Rankings
Hopefully this isn't a stupid question. I'm new to MOZ Pro so I created a campaign and uploaded about 300 keywords. Our site is an ecommerce site so there are many many products and of course, many pages. My first On Page Ranking Report has completed and naturally we have pages with scores ranging from A to F. What I don't understand is this: for any given keyword, how did that word get assigned to a given page for the purpose of the ranking report? We may have many pages that may include a given keyword so when I look at a page with a score of F, I'm sometimes surprised that a given keyword is assigned to a particular page for the purposes of ranking. Can someone help me understand this architecture?

Was changing some keywords worth it?
Hi, I recently started with the SEO and all the "magic". Thanks to moz I analyze/change my keywords in On-Page optimization and follow recommendations in the Crawl Diagnostic. Since then I have a simple (maybe dummie) question.

How can I determine that changing of some keywords was worth it? I was thinking that I could check these three things if they are growing/improving: check "url - keyword" rank and grade check number of visits from the organic search history check Page Authority, MozRank, MozTrust in Open Site Explorer Are these three good metrics? What else?I know it is probably not so easy to answer and it is probably matter of discussion. Thanks anyway for answers. D.0
