Need Guidance On SEO Campaign
-
Hello, my website is www.mybluedish.com and I am launching an SEO campaign to increase our rankings, especially for the keyword 'satellite internet'. We used to be ranked #5 for this keyword and Google made some changes about 9 months ago that dropped us way back. We have recovered a lot back to #18 now, but have been stuck here for a while. I want to step up our SEO campaign and have come up with the following campaign. Could any SEO's please tell me if you think the following is the make up of a solid SEO campaign or if it should be adjusted? Thank you.
12 new blog articles/month
24 Articles submitted to 10 different directories each (total of 200 article directory submissions)/month
1 basic Press Release from PR.com/month
200 do follow blog comments/month
10 paid blog posts (on other people’s blogs of PR 1-5)/month

Is this a package you're buying from someone, or something you're doing internally? It could be great, or a great failure, IMHO.
If you have 12 awesome articles produced each month, and you find 200 blog posts each month that are high-quality and relevant and you craft relevant, unique comments on each one, that's a real good start. If you get someone else to write 12 blog articles, run those through a content spinner so they get to be 24 different articles, and then put that on article directories and auto-submit spam to a list of do follow blogs that make the bloggers consider turning off comments on their blog, you're better having done nothing.

Looks like a good start to me.
The content strategy is solid. Just be sure you're creating good high quality content that people will want to read and share. You'll probably see the most results from linkbuilding. You may want to work in a social aspect as well. Twitter and Facebook are great ways to spread your content like wildfire. The 2011 rankings report showed a strong correlation between Facebook shares and rise in rankings.
One thing you may want to think about is instead of thinking of this as an SEO campaign, think of SEO as something you constantly do, assuming you have the resources to do so. To me, campaigns are like diets. If you "go on a diet" at some point you'll probably go off of that diet and gain all the weight back.
If you "do a campaign" you'll at some point reach the end of that campaign and your rankings will start to diminish.

How do I optimize dynamic content for SEO?
Hello, folks! I'm wondering how I optimize a site if it is built on a platform that works based on dynamic content. For example, the page pulls in certain information based on the information it has about the user. Not every user will see the same page. Thanks!

Is Snip.ly bad for SEO?
Hi, I'm using the software snip.ly, which allows me to add call to action into content I publish through social media. It's really powerful but I'm wondering how it can affect my SEO? Snip.ly now appears into my link report and its spam score is only 2, which is good. However I'm afraid that in the long term, it can be bad: links are created manually by the webmarketer Topics of this website are infinite the ancor is the same Your thoughts?..

Django and SEO - Multicountry site - Is Django really SEO friendly?
Hi Everyone, Our client is requesting that we use Django for her project. I am really uneasy about this for several reasons. The client wants a multi-country site that is completely SEO friendly. I love Wordpress and if I had to do this project it would be a Wordpress site with WPML + Yoast plugins site. Questions Is Django SEO friendly and what "plugins" should I be using? Is there a multi-country plugin for Django that keeps or adds typical SEO features? Can you recommend any great articles? Any example sites would be GREATLY appreciated Thanks

Local SEO for a community.
How would one go about best doing local SEO for a townhome community? It seems to fall in between the traditional imformational SEO and the brick and mortar, G+ page model. There seems to be no way to attack the NAP, directory and traditional citation model for a certain region they build in. Any thoughts?

If I hired you/your company to do my SEO ...
If i hired you or your company to do SEO for my site (http://goo.gl/XUH3f) what would be the first steps you'd take? I'm pretty sure i've covered all of the basics myself, I'm just left trying to figure out what i should do next... rankings have been going up and down for the last few weeks, but even when they're up, they're not high enough 🙂 (and then they go back down anyway) ... I know some of you are going to say build links, please at least give me an example of one or two sites you'd try to get to link to mine... I'm open to any advice or feedback as I'm just a website owner who's been doing their own SEO & learning on the fly... Thanks a lot!

What are the best suites of SEO tools?
I normally use SEOmoz and a bit of SEMrush but I dont really know much outside of those two. Im looking to do a review of the big, trustworthy ones - along the lines of free trial price vs value ranktracking linkbuilding help onpage analysis and help competitor analysis reports I heard good things about Raven Tools and Web CEO. Ive seen mention of SEOpowersuite on this forum but the site looks spammy as hell Anyone have a view on those 5 tools or any others in a similar vein? Or any other top line criteria I should be looking at? Cheers
