What is needed to be "Complete" for each citation source?
-
We use Moz Local to track citations for our clients and while I understand that it is not necessary for every citation to be 100% complete to get decent visibility in Google, I was wondering if there is any list of what is required for each citation source to show as complete in Moz Local? For example, how many categories, photos etc.
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated

Hello!
Thanks for reaching out to us and with the blessings of Gondor we should be able to provide a good plan to get back to 100%.
Here is how to interpret your Moz Local listing score, and have a good sense of what Moz Local is doing for and what you can take manual action on.
When you sign into your Moz Local dashboard and click on a business listing there, you are taken to a business details page where you will see your overall listing score. This score is comprised of your status on the direct partner sites in our network + the status of your listings on non indirect partner sites, as well.
The supported partner sites in our network are:
Factual
Foursquare
Neustar/Localeze
Infogroup
Best of the Web
Acxiom
Superpages
Bing
CitySearch (Citygrid/Insider Pages)Once you’ve uploaded your listing to Moz Local, it’s our job to push your data out to the above direct partner sites. Your overall listing score will begin to rise as each of the above listings achieves updated status. The rise may be gradual rather than instantaneous, but should be noticeable over time. You should be sure you’ve filled out as many details as possible on your listing so that it can achieve a maximum score. If you’ve filled out all of these fields, you’re good to go on this and it’s our job to take it from there, pushing out your data to the direct partners. As each partner achieves updated status, your listing score will gradually begin to rise.
Apart from this, you can contribute to a rise in your listing score manually by improving your listings on the non-partner sites shown on the details page. These non-partner sites are:
Google
Facebook
Yelp
Hotfrog
YPOn the details page, if you discover that we are reporting issues to you under the ‘Inconsistent’ and ‘Incomplete’ tabs on any of the above non-partner sites, you should consider taking manual action to correct these things. This activity on your part will also eventually contribute to a rise in your listing score.
Finally, if our tool also surfaces duplicate listings for you, you’ll want to pay close attention to these. If the duplicates are on any of the partner sites, you can simply click the ‘close’ button. If they are on the non-partner sites, clicking the close button will take you to a page on the associated site where you will need to work manually with the platform to request closure of the duplicate.
Taken all together, the work we are doing to push your data to the our partner sites and the work you do on the non-partner sites will contribute to a rise in your listing score, until hopefully reaching that 100% mark.
I hope this helps you feel fully informed about our service and your opportunities! Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any further questions!

Moz local "add one of your own photos"
I am new to Moz Local, and I am working to update my business listing. I felt lost when there was a section asking for photos, but instead of uploading them, they are a URL. I do not understand how to add these photos. Can someone help?

Updating Local Listings that Moz Local Won't Update completely?
I use Moz local and have for over a year, so my profiles should all be spot on by now. How can you update some inconsistent info that Moz does't provide or is not updating. I have tried to go in and claim some of the listings that the information isn't filled in properly or the ones that don't have the categories filled out that I know Moz Local won't do, but it is saying it is managed by Moz and won't let me claim it. What can I do.

Q: At what point in time should I submit a "corrected" NAP to MOZ Local in the process of cleaning up NAP in the directory ecosystem?
1- Can I submit a "corrected" NAP to Moz Local and trust that all the incorrect info in the entire directory ecosystem will get corrected? If the answer is yes, how long would this take? 2- Should I change the incorrect NAP listings in the "other" directories that MOZ doesn't have an agreement with, before I submit a "corrected" NAP to MOZ.? Thanks for the info:-)

Does the "Unmanaged" number go up immediately after submission?
I just submitted a CSV file with the information about 3 businesses to Moz Local, but I can't tell if it went through properly. The page gave me a message saying "0 are ready to publish. 0 need validation", and didn't list any errors in my listings. However, the number next to "Unmanaged" is still a 0. I know from looking at some of the other questions on here that from the time that Moz sends the information out, it can take a few weeks for the listings to propagate. But I'm not sure whether or not it's supposed to take some amount of time for uploaded listings to show up on here as Unmanaged listings. Should I try resubmitting, or does it just take a few minutes/hours for unmanaged listings to show up?

Can I pre-select which citation services I want to set up with Moz local.
I have used Yext and they tried to connect you with citation services that have no relevance to our website. I cancelled Yext. .
