If I have 2 brick and mortar stores in the same city, do I need to pay BOTW twice?
-
I am building citations for 2 brick and mortar stores for the same company that are in the same city. Since they are in the same city, I have not create individual landing pages. Just one locations page with both store addresses. We already purchased BOTW for the first location.

I think BOTW is a good citation source, but if you can't get it for free the best thing to do is test. If you're thinking that site will be a valuable piece to your marketing (and deserve a piece of the budget), then test with the first location to see how much traffic it drives. Set up a special segment or filter in Google Analytics to track referrals from BOTW. If you're seeing some decent traffic for what you're paying (and possible conversions), then it's definitely worth expanding to. If you're just paying for the citation source then you might be better off sinking that monthly fee into paid search or somewhere else. I agree BOTW is a good local citation to have, but that's what I would do to try and justify spending money on it.

Hi There,
I believe BOTW listings are still free, unless this has recently changed: http://local.botw.org/helpcenter/jumpstartproduct.aspx
I agree with John that it's very important that you create a unique landing page on your website for each store and be sure all citations you're building link to these pages.

If you think BOTW would drive traffic - then yes.
That said I would query the logic of both stores on one landing page. As there are only two, and local search could be a key factor in search. Can you create separate pages for each store, with a google map to each page?. That will give an opportunity for each store to locally rank.

Are there any online directories that an online ONLY store should list itself in?
I watched the Whiteboard Friday Video about this, but didn't hear it deal with directories exclusively. Should an online only store use online directories- and if so, how? Would there be a NAP involved?

Google Local: When moving locations, is a new website/content needed?
I've effectively moved companies before, but I've heard that ranking locally in a competitive market after an address move it is necessary to redesign the entire website/content/domain as Google associates the old website/content/domain with the old location. Is this true? Does anyone have any direct experience with this? NOTE- I have updated citations across the internet and have regular social signals going to the new location, and this has been the case for almost 6 months now.

Rankings stuck on page 2 - what am I missing?
My business website ranked on the first page for 48 of 51 keywords for years. Then 10 months ago I had a duplicate content problem from a bad plugin and every keyword ranking dropped off the first page. I got the duplicate content problem fixed, but I've been stuck with only 3 keywords of 51 on the first page ever since. This is a local site and without much competition at all. http://www.pmaaustin.com The Yoast SEO Plugin shows the on page optimization of nearly every page/post on this website as solid Green, but MOZ rates nearly all of my pages' On Page Optimization as an F. It rates nearly all these keywords as an F as showing they should all be optimized on the Home page. I don't understand that. Also according to MOZ ,versus my competitor's websites, I have mostly the highest Domain and Page Authority. I also has the largest # and most relevant Root Domains. It also has the best written content, and the almost only active blog. Still, nearly every keyword is sitting on page 2. It seems like it wants to "Spring" onto page 1! What am I missing?

Map-pack results for multiple locations in the same city
We just started working with a local business with several offices across Virginia. All of their locations have G+ local pages, and all rank pretty well in map-pack results for their respective cities....except for one location. Two of their offices happen to be in the same city. One ranks well in the local pack, and the other one is totally buried. This is the only location that doesn't rank in the map-pack for its target local queries. This company still has a TON of work to do to clean-up their citations and improve their G+ local pages across all the locations, but I'm wondering if there are any best practices for handling two locations within the same city...we obviously want both offices to rank in the map-pack, and don't want to do anything that might hurt the one that is currently ranking well. I'm confident that generally cleaning up their profile across the board, and adding new citations for all locations would be beneficial, but would appreciate any suggestions or best practices for getting both locations in this one city to perform well. Thanks!

Targeting both Dutch countries .NL & .BE --> 2 ccTLD's using rel-alternate or just one TLD?
We want to target both Dutch countries .NL & .BE (Belgium & Netherlands).
Local Listings | | Brainlane
Should we go for the 2 ccTLD's using rel-alternate, or go for one TLD, .EU or similar? We currently have an SEO project going on where DNS.be & DNS.nl are equally important. Currently we are using the rel-alternate meta data. The .be website is doing fantastic, the .nl one seems stagnant and not really getting to target. For a similar project, we are now wondering whether we should go for the same approach, or just pick one TLD (.EU or similar). Note: we cannot create content that is regionally specific, since the content is just what it is and cannot be altered.0 -

Question about domains with 2 or 3 hyphens
I have a client who has 3 domains in the following format: keywordkeywordkeywordkeyword.co.uk keyword-keyword-keyword.co.uk keyword-keyword-keyword-london.co.uk And needs advice on the best one to use. The client is leaning towards the one with 3 hyphens because it has more keywords but I am a bit worried about using it at the risk of it looking too spammy because of the hyphens. So my question is will 3 hyphens as in the above example cause anything negative in terms of SEO? We will not be doing any black-hat seo tactics but even so will 3 hyphens cause any problems or is it safer to go with just two hyphens? And secondly the client asked if Google can understand different words or is it better to have hyphens so Google can understand that there are different words?
