No links from Pinterest, wordpress, yahoo, etc.

I'm new to moz and trying to go through some of the tools. I was looking at the link analysis and I had a couple questions
- I don't see any links from good sites that do show up in my webmaster tools - wordpress, yahoo, pinterest. Just a bunch of spammy sites that I've been trying to shake off for years now and even though we've completely redesigned the entire site they're still there.
- I have 21 links from my own domain. How do I fix that?
-
Thanks or the help. I've read that google can sometimes not be as accurate at reporting links as well. I'll look into the disavow option.

Probably worth mentioning too that Mozscape doesn't update that often. So if the links are quite new, you may have to wait until at least the next update to see them in your link analysis. It can be like 2 months in between updates.... Basically if they say next update is mid-September, it'll come mid-October. But yeah, take Moz's link analysis with a pinch of salt and use in combination with other tools. I find ones that Moz picks up that others don't too so.

Awesome, I will answer to your question one by one and to the point.
- Mozscape have a limited index which is defiantly not as big as Google’s index which is why Google webmaster might show you some more links that Mozscape is not tracking at the moment.
- No matter if you redesigned your website completely the links will stay there. The only way to get rid of spammy links is to either contact them and remove them or update a link disavow file to Google and tell them you do not wish to receive a link juice from the following websites.
- Links from your own domain. I am considering them as internal links and internal links are totally fine.
Hope this helps!

Indirect Link Earning via dofollow Links In News Articles
Hello, MOZ SEO Gurus. I've been trying to think some deep thoughts on safe, effective link earning for news publishing sites, and wanted to run this up the flagpole and see if you salute. Our site is a biotech news service -- we pump out copious amounts of news content each day, which works well for driving traffic. That being said, we also want to rank some optimized landing pages as well. Take, for example, this page, which we'd like to rank for "secondary progressive MS" and related keywords: http://bionews-tx.com/secondary-progressive-ms/ Now, as far as I'm concerned, shopping this page around to MS influencers isn't easy. I can go to Foundational websites, blogs, etc., and say, "hey, we have this info page on SPMS, and I thought that you might find it helpful/want to link to it." But chances are, the MS influencers already have their own proprietary content on SPMS, and there isn't much value to linking to it. Therefore, I think that we'll get few link earning conversions on the effort. However, what if I take our Secondary Progressive MS landing page, and I link to it in a corresponding article about SPMS research, as I did here: http://bionews-tx.com/news/2014/01/30/secondary-progressive-ms-natalizumab-clinical-trial/ Then, I go to the drug developer who is at the center of this story and say to them, "hey, we recently covered your drug in the news, and I thought you might want to link to it." Then, we get a link from an MS drug developer to the news article, which in turn has a prominent anchor text, dofollow internal link to the landing page for SPMS. If the link from the drug developer is dofollow, then we flow page rank juice from the drug developer page to our news page to our landing page. To me, it's much easier to earn safe links this way than to try and shop the landing page itself. That being said, if we get a dofollow link on the news piece, we only get a diminished portion of page rank going to the landing page. Is this strategy viable? Is the indirect flow of page rank from a linking site to a news article to a landing page even worth it? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

33k links from Yahoo?
Google WMT says I have over 33,000 backlinks from Yahoo.net, linking to 4 different pages on my site. I am not sure if these are nofollow or not, but I would assume they are. It also says I have almost 4,000 links from feedblitz. Should I be concerned or do something about either of these two things? I am pretty unfamiliar with RSS feeds.

Link building
Hello everyone, I am building links for an e-commerce site and I need to increase the value of the links we get by placing them on specific pages in order to pass more juice to inner pages. Which part of the website should I point the links to? Because there is no content section on the site what I can do is either link to the homepage (not an option) or link to inner pages such as category/subcategory/product pages. My doubt is that it wouldn't look natural to link to products pages from a piece of content or from a site where people go with the intention not to buy but to get information. Any opinions on this?

Where are all the sites that are linking to me?
I need to compile a list of all the siters linking to my site, but my open site explorer analysis shows very few links. I know for certain that there are many many more sites linking to it (it's an academic site and there are links to it from a lot of academic directories). What am I doing wrong?

RSS links vs. contextual links
Which has more value? Passes more "link juice"? Auto generated rss links or contextual links?
