Question about placing links
-
My company have a website about car related business. I have found around 8-10 sites that is car related which can place links to me. I am wondering whats the best way to make this most effective.
I have been writing 8 different texts with maybe 200-250 words each which i plan to use on the sites that is going to link to my site. Should i use exact anchors links or should i use different anchors on every site so it looks more natural? My site today does not have much quality links to it which i believe can make problem when you get 8-10 new sites linking that is very related and have a nice content?
How long time should i wait when i put a link to each site to make it less unnatural?
Happy for any answer!

Hi Silkstream,
Thanks for the fast and good answer. Will take the advice and start with the links.

People are going to tell you to just "keep it natural" or "don't just make it look natural, be natural", etc. Which of course is true. But not really helpful.
I'd say have a blend of anchor text. Don't use exact match keyword more than once if it sounds unnatural, consider long tail anchors, keep majority branded or branded+modifier, look at semantically related phrasing, etc. And don't use it in spammy context!
But, possibly more importantly, make sure that the sites that you are linking from are good quality websites. Links from 8-10 relevant-but-meh websites aren't as good as 2-3 relevant-and-awesome websites.
If you're concerned about timing, stagger them over a month. Otherwise, 8-10 in a small amount of time shouldn't matter too much as some of those pages might not even be crawled by Google for days or even weeks. All depends on the websites you're linking from.

Inbound link analysis
Hi all! we are doing some back link analysis on a clients competitors site. The competitor has roughly 300,000 links generated from an estimated 1,500 domain names. Is there an easy way to determine how many of the 300,000 links come from which of the 1,500 domain names? Essentially we want to see which of these domain names are generating the majority links? Is there a tool we can use to determine this? Or is it good old fashioned leg work? Ideas...? Thanks in advance 🙂 Phil.

Link Building - Affiliate Link Programs
I'm getting some conflicting information when researching this... I want to create the most organic link building strategy that not only gets high authority sites linking to a website, but relevant websites. I'm creating an affiliate link program where I link to partner and affiliate companies, who in turn link back to me. The question is where to put these links. I was initially thinking of putting them in the footer so they add credibility to every page, and in turn ask my affiliates to do the same thing. However; some sources say that Google no longer looks at links in the footer section. Is it true that Google doesn't count links in footer sections? And do you have any tips on creating this Affiliate Link Program?

Do sites on the same c-block and same server count as seperate linking root domains when linking to each other?
Lets say there are 50 businesses who have their website on the same server and are on the same c-block but the owners of the individual sites are different (i.e. they are all completely different sites not relevant to each other). Each of those sites are linking to each other due to a feature on the sites. This obviously increases the number of total links to each site but does it also increase the number of linking root domains? Or does this just show up as one linking root domain due to all of them being on the same server and the sharing the same c-block?

Very simple Link question: Ziggy Marley homepage
Newbie here: My client is Zion rootswear. They need links, bad. They have friends in high rank places, this is good. Ziggy Marley has a link to them on his homepage: Gear: Zion Rootswear this takes the user to the website when clicked QUESTION Should I have the ziggy team change it to www.zionrootswear.com? Ill assume this is obvious, yes they should....more juice...right? I need an expert opinion. Thanks Mozzers.
