What's the best way to track broad search terms?
-
I'm finding out that Moz only tracks exact match results for key terms. Does anyone know of a good tool for tracking broad search terms? So for example: keyword1 keyword2 keyword3 as opposed to "keyword1 keyword2 keyword3"?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!-David

Okay got it! Thank you!

I believe if you just set it up, it will run report next day (or in two days), but then it's gonna be weekly. I don't think there is a way to force to update reports.
-
Ahh! I bet that's it! I did have http://lashgroup.com in originally and then changed it but not until that report had been generated. Good eye! So can I initiate another report or do I need to wait another week or whatever?
-
Alright, i think i found your problem.
Do you have lashgroup campaign set up for http://lashgroup.com?
instead of http://www.lashgroup.com? Do you have proper redirects from non-www to www version (or vice versa)?
Check screenshots.
P.S. As far as i understand, moz is looking for exact match of domain when retrieving rankings for your reports. so, www and non-www make a lot of difference.
-
I am looking at a report from a campaign but I don't think it's a time based error. I think Lashgroup has been #1 position for these search terms for quite a while.
-
Are you checking moz's rank tracker or ranking report in campaign?
If it's in campaign, then it might be due to weekly updates - rankings are not updated every day, so 51+ rank might be from previous week (or even month if you're looking at monthly report).
-
Hmm..
I tried to recreate the results you're talking about and here is what i get:
chrome - ranks #1
moz - ranks #1
Check the attachment

Well, hopefully this provides more details: We have Lashgroup in as one of our competitors and for the keyword phrase: "copay program providers" moz.com is saying that Lashgroup is 51+ although when searching that phrase in Chrome using incognito I see a link to the Lasgroup website as the #1 link in the search results page. So...what's up with that? Am I missing something?

Hello, my friend.
I think you are mistaken. Moz, indeed, tracks rankings for broad match. And it makes sense, since users usually google without putting any google search operators (like double quotes).
And here is the proof: I have two searches for how car fast - broad and exact. I used nonsense phrase on purpose. Then i went to moz rank tracker and did the same search. The results show that MOZ does indeed broad search.
See screenshots attached.
-
So exact match for you is "copay program providers"
You then want to track each word on its own? or are you trying to work out the long trail options?
As I'm just trying to work out what bored search teams for you is.
-
Oh sure! Here you go: copay program providers
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm just trying to work this out a little more. Can you give a sample of keywords you want as exact match and broad?
This post on moz is really good but it will take time and work within Google Analytics but again if you can give me an example of what you're trying to track it will help alot.

How accurate is Moz Rank Tracker tool? It's showing different results than a Google incognito search.

Crawl-test not doesn't finish
Hello, I have used this crawl-test on 2 website 3 days ago, and it hasn't finished yet. I'm wondering if the crawler is on an infinite loop, or has crashed without sending back an error. I could re-launch the test, but if it's really still crawling, I don't want to loose any work in progress. Is there any way to check the status of a crawl?

I keep getting a 429 Too Many Request error for a wp-login page on my website. Is there a way to prevent that from happening, or fix outside of redirecting on the back end of WordPress?
I have a client that keeps coming up with 429 Too Many Request critical crawl errors. I re-directed some of them on the back end of WordPress, but additional keep coming in. The URL has a WP-Login and directs to back end login section. Is there a reason that would come up as an error, how can I prevent it from happening again, and how can I fix the remaining current errors outside of redirecting back to /? Thanks, Kalyn Lengieza

Moz is reporting weird email address URLs as 'Meta refresh' errors? Anything to worry about?
Under site crawl, Moz is reporting weird email address URLs as 'Meta refresh' errors. The URLs are: http://support@ihasco.co.uk and http://enquiries@ihasco.co.uk Once clicked, they redirect to our homepage. Anyone else ever had this? Is it anything to worry about? I don't think it is, but would be good to get some reassurance.

Why can't On-Page Grader grade any Hilton hotel URLs?
I'm receiving the "Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible." for every hilton hotel webpage I check when using On-Page Grader. Is Hilton blocking Moz's On-Page Grader or is something else going on? Here are a few "inaccessible URLs" from different brands within Hilton's portfolio: http://doubletree3.hilton.com/en/hotels/new-york/doubletree-by-hilton-hotel-metropolitan-new-york-city-NYCDTDT/index.html http://home2suites3.hilton.com/en/hotels/tennessee/home2-suites-by-hilton-nashville-vanderbilt-tn-BNAHTHT/index.html http://hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/florida/hampton-inn-and-suites-destin-DSINEHX/index.html http://hiltongardeninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/georgia/hilton-garden-inn-atlanta-downtown-ATLDOGI/index.html Thanks in advance.

Domain.com isn't recognized by on-page-grader, but domain.com/index.php is
I am running a website through On-page-grader, as www.domain.com and scores an "F" for a specific keyword. When it's ran as www.domain.com/index.php, it scores an "A" for that same keyword and has everything checked other than "keyword in the domain name". There are no other files such as index.htm, or index.html that would interfere and can't figure out why this page is not being recognized. I checked, the robots and .htaccess file, but do not see anything that would hinder. Could this be a server issue?

Where's Rogerbot?
Could someone please tell me where Rogerbot lives now?! Unless I'm having distorted memories, I used to be able to crawl websites with Rogerbot (that are not set-up as Campaigns). Could someone please let me know where to find this now? p.s. I didn't really want to Q&A this, but after a while clicking around moz I'm now even questioning myself!
