On-page optimization for closely related keywords or acronyms of keywords

We are in the process of on-page optimization for a site that sells one kind of software. We are trying to optimize each page for a target keyword and variations of the keyword, however we have more pages than keyword variation types, so I'm looking for feedback on whether the below plan would be keyword cannibalization.
Examples:
URL: www.domain.com/product
Tarket Keyword: device imaging software
Title Tag: Device Imaging Software | Company NameURL: www.domain.com/solutions
Target Keyword: device imaging solutions
Title Tag: Device Imaging Solutions | Company NameURL: www.domain.com/products/product-name
Target Keyword: dis (acronym)
Title Tag: DIS Software | Product Name | Company NameMy question is are these keyword too closely related for each of the pages? Will they be considered duplicate title tags? Keyword cannibalization? etc.

If you optimize your content properly, you should be able to rank all of those keywords with 1 page (with great content and links). Those keywords are semantically the same. Hummingbird is a awesome if you know how to leverage it.
One trick is to use parentheses. For example, your opening sentence could be "ImageCo is the world leader in Device Imagery Software (DIS) Solutions."
I would use "DIS Software" and "DIS Solutions" a few times in the document, and I would place those keywords in close proximity to the non-abbreviated keywords so Google links them semantically. I would also use all 3 Keywords in their own H2s.
The trick is not to overdo it and make it look natural. No need to spam it.
I would also be mixing in Proof Terms and Relevant Terms throughout the document with the most important going in the first 2 paragraphs.
For a title tag, I would use:
Device Imagery Software | DIS Solutions | Company Name
It's much easier and cheaper to write 1 page of killer content and build links to it than to build 3.

Totally agree with Jared.
If you're only selling one product, it doesn't make sense from a user perspective to have a different page for each keyword variation. Google is smart enough to figure this out. Just use those variations naturally on one juicy page describing all the features and benefits of the product.
If you want to go into more detail about a specific feature or benefit of the product, there's your opportunity to create a new page. Catch a prospective customer at an earlier stage in the sales funnel. Maybe they don't know about Digital Imaging Software. Maybe they just have a problem, and they're searching for a solution. Your subpages could target those more specific search queries.

My suggestion would be to reevaluate the strategy of having that amount of pages in the first place. If you're dealing with a single type of software you're more than likely going to be working against yourself, not only in terms of cannibalization, but user experience as well.
Instead, beef up the content on a single page (ie, www.domain.com/product) and make sure to include as much coherent information, as well as the variations, that you can. The engines look for these variations anyway, so as long as you're spoon feeding the information to them on this page, they should be able to pick up that it's the same product and rank it accordingly once there are other signals in place (links, anchor text, etc).
Having said that, if you do have significant enough differences in the software to warrant multiple pages, then you simply need to come up with better descriptors/keywords, and build out the their specific. Make sure that the content is unique enough, but not spilling over into what the other, similar pieces of software do. Otherwise you might still run into your cannibalization issue. Ranking these in the beginning may be tough, but as Google recrawls these pages over and over they will start to pick up more differences and "understand" them better. I'll also echo my earlier suggestion - make sure the necessary signals are in place here too. You might be able to help Google understand the differences in these pages quicker by being a little deliberate as far as anchor text is concerned.

Minor languages keyword research
Hello, I am in charge of doing a keyword research for several small countries in Europe, namely Hungary, Estonia and Latvia.

I normally use the Keyword planner for Google Ads, but for Hungarian, Estonian and Latvian this tools seems to find no results for the keywords related to my websites. For example, in Hungarian the keyword "ajak toltoanyagok" ("lip fillers" in English) doesn't give any results (and yes, I am targeting my searches to Hungary and Hungarian). Optimizing a Webpage without keywords
Hi all, I’m really running into a challenge internally lately in that we have a lot of teams redesigning or building new pages (specificially one team) that do NOT loop our teams in. When we finally get them to work with us, to drive traffic to the pages, they disagree that there must be other ways of optimizing the pages than focusing on keywords with search volume that are relevant to the page. We usually land that they will choose a keyword or two they think a user will search for, we do keyword research and pick something close (because they don’t want to utilize a term that doesn’t make much sense, as they have written the content without involving us from the beginning, but then our search volume is declining). They keep saying there are other ways than changing the paired down content on their page and adding in keywords to the H1 headers, content on page. they mentioned semantic search at one point. For example, https://www.entrust.com/products/entrust-getaccess/ currently ranks around #10 for "single sign on solution." This keyword was on the previous page quite a few times in headers and body copy. Now it appears on the page 3 times after the redesign and is not in the h1. The team does for example want to optimize for this term, but there’s lots of pushback as they want a page with minimal content and little design. Just wondering your thoughts on this. IS this a common challenge you deal with too and any idea on answers as I've tried many with the teams? Thanks, Laura

Where do I go from here with my keyword research?
Hi all. I'm wondering if I can get some assistance on keyword research. I've set out a step-by-step process for myself about how to go about finding a list of keywords we want to optimise our site for. I've used a guide over at http://www.seonick.net/keyword-research to break it down step-by-step. After using Keyword Tool and Ubersuggest to get a list of keyword suggestions with their local monthly search volumes, I now have an Excel file with 1663 suggestions (yikes!). It is at this point where I am not 100% sure of what to do with this data & how to figure out which of these terms we should optimise for. I know not to go purely based on the local monthly search volume because that is not based on organic searches. So how would I go about condensing this into a list of keyword suggestions to target for optimising? Thanks in advance for assistance on this.

How should I use keywords in a sentence?
The keywords that I target are phrases that wouldn't ever be used in a sentence... Ex: Stained Concrete Virginia My question is... Is it better to use the phrase, even though its odd? Ex: Stained Concrete Virginia is a great product Or is it better to make it a natural sentence? Ex: Stained Concrete in Virginia is a great product? Im trying to find a way to use my keyword phrases at least 4 times in the content of the pages...but it seems difficult if I have to use such an odd phrase. Thanks! Tim

No idea where to start with keywords
I have a friend who owns an IT business in Pennsylvania. I have been on the adwords tool begging for keywords that people are searching for and I am getting no search results at all. I have tried all types of combinations- IT consultant Pennsylvania IT consultant PA network solutions pennsylvania computer tech pennsylvania ...and many variations thereof. Does this mean that maybe just no one looks for this type of business on google? What would you guys do in this situation? Thanks!

Keyword and Keyphrases
I'm looking to optimise my website for some keywords and keyphrases I'm getting a bit confused on how different pages might compete (or help) each other. As we are an automotive dealer I was thinking about building the hompage around 4 keywords (one for each franchise we represent e.g 'Ford'). These show high local monthly searches and medium competition for just the manufacturer name on its own. Then if someone drills down into a franchise homepage (linked from our homepage e.g. www.ourwebsite.com/ford) I was thinking to optimise the page around e.g. 'Ford Dealer' (which has medium local monthly searches and high competition). Then if someone drills down into a particular model I optimise around that and so on. Question is will I be playing the franchise homepage vs the group homepage (Ford vs Ford Dealer) as I have read here on Keyword Cannibalization? Or will it work together? Alternative I guess is not to focus around a franchise on the group homepage and then only focus on the franchise from the franchise homepage onwards but I feel I would be missing a trick? As a new kid on the block help will be most appreciated.
