Open Site Explorer Messge - Mysite.com redirects to www.mysite.com
-
Hello All,
When I plug in my site's URL http://mysite.com ( Not my actual URL of-course) into the OpenSiteExplorer tool I get the following message:
"You entered the URL http://Mysite.com which redirects to http://www.Mysite.com/.
Because it's likely to have more accurate metrics, we're showing data for the redirected URL instead.
Click here to analyze http://Mysite.com instead?"Not sure why I am getting this message. On my hosting server, I have defined my preferred domain to be the non-www. version. I have also used a Canonical Tag on Mysite.com/index.html file ( ). In addition, on Google Search Console ( Webmaster Tools ) , I have added both the www. and non-www. properties, where on both property settings, I have defined the non-www. version as my preferred one. Also, on my server, I have not implemented any 301 redirects at all.
So my questions are:
-
Why am I receiving this message when plugging in my non-www. URL version of my website into OpenSiteExplorer?
-
Is my DA or PA possibly being split up between the two versions as a result?
-
Should I be concerned?
-
How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jorge,
Did you managed to sort this out? I have exact same issue on my domain too.
My message is like this.
You entered the URL https://a-fotografy.co.uk/ which redirects to http://www.a-fotografy.co.uk/. Because it's likely to have more accurate metrics, we're showing data for the redirected URL instead. Click here to analyze https://a-fotografy.co.uk/ instead?
**https://a-fotografy.co.uk/ **is my current domain. I'm not even sure why it is redirecting to my old domain.
Let me know if you managed to sort your issue and I see if I should do the same.
Thanks.
Regards,
Armands

1. You may receive this probably due broken redirects.
2. No.
3. Yes.
4. Check redirects. You can use cURL or wget (console apps). You also can use SC "Fetch & Render".
If you're afraid - PM me with link to make some tests.

Is this site linking to us?
Hi, Moz OSE does not recognize this site as linking to our site, but I feel like it has to be. Here is the code and the link to the site: http://www.avvo.com/attorneys/34655-fl-stacy-kemp-1843513.html#contact [https://kemprugegreen.com/location/tampa/tampa-car-auto-accident-attorney/](<a class=)" target="_blank">https://kemprugegreen.com/location/tampa/tampa-car-auto-accident-attorney/ So are they linking to us? If so, how come OSE cant find it? It lists it for our competitors. Thanks, Ruben

Why do my spammy backlinks still appear on my Open Site Explorer page after removal?
I used the organic spam backlink removal tactic of emailing owners of sites of spam rank 7 or higher on my page. It has been weeks since many of the harmful links were removed, yet they remain listed on my Open site Explorer page. My fear is that somehow simply getting these links removed doesn't exempt me from the potential to be penalized by Google crawlers. Does it take longer than a few weeks for these links to disappear from the Open Site Explorer, or is there something else I need to be doing? Any and all advice appreciated. Ben

[No Title] in Top Pages using Open Site Explorer
Hello!
Link Explorer | | eagleleather
All of my pages contain properly formatted title tags which display in the browser. However, when I view the 'Top Pages' area of the Open Site Explorer, 99% of those pages show [No Title] in the Page Title & URL column. Does anyone know what might be causing this?0 -
Why is my website providing no feedback on the Open Site Explorer?
Basically, whenever i type in my URL, http://www.locksmithplusincportlandor.com, I am presented with the following message: "It looks like we haven't discovered established link data for this URL yet." I have gone through all of the reasons why this could be, and none of them apply to my current situation. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Is there an option that's more precise over Open Site Explorer?
I've had folks explain to me before that OpenSiteExplorer is just an estimation, etc. but there are some fairly easy statistics that seem to be different and it makes me nervous that either its wrong or I'm doing something wrong. As you can see in the image, moz isn't read social metrics correctly. It actually used to be pretty spot on, but as you can see with Google+'s its off. Maybe not a big deal right? But for my clients new Moz Analytic print outs it makes somewhat of a difference. Any help? UlwQs3w
