How to get more Facebook likes
-
Hello,
We're doing a $5/day like campaign with our cover photo on this Facebook page.
What tips do you have in getting more likes, we're only getting like 2 a day. We need lots.
Themes:
Healing with alternative healing methodologies (orgonite - healing devices, MMS - a powerful supplement)
Helping wolves
Helping bees
I know we're an interesting niche and hard to advise. Here's our site. What tips do you have, just for Facebook?

Hi Bob,
I don't believe the price of what you are selling has a significant impact on the cost of ad clicks. The audience definition you use along with the relevance score of your ads is what will have the most significant impact in determining how much you will pay for ad clicks.
Whether or not your ad campaign will be successful in selling a $50 product, I cannot say. There are a lot more factors that go into this. Generally, I like to use social ad campaigns to promote content or even just as a remarketing campaign so I know I am only reaching users who are familiar with the brand/website I am promoting.
Let me know if that helps, I may have misunderstood your question!

Troy,
Can you sell $50 products this way? How much does this cost?

Hi Bob,
I definitely agree with the comments above to try a new banner image and connect with existing communities.
To answer your question about what can be done to improve your ad campaign on Facebook, I would suggest testing out a new bid strategy. If you haven't experimented with a low CPM bid then give it a try with one of your more refined audience targets. If you've noticed any demographic trends from your current like base then you can also try to refine audience targeting based on that. I'd also suggest testing out multiple audience targets, sometimes going a bit broader with a low CPM bid will produce a lot of likes at very low costs. However, keep in mind that these are not always going to be the most engaged users.
You can also work on improving your relevance scores, if your ads are getting low relevance scores after the first 500 impressions you can pause them and create duplicates, once you've done this a few times you should be able to determine a good benchmark relevance score which will be the lowest you are willing to settle for. If you can improve your relevance scores by even just a few points it should have a significant impact on your cost per like!
To sum things up - Try new bidding methods, test audience targets and don't settle for <4 relevance scores on your ads!
Hope that helps, let us know if you are able to see any improvements!

Be active in relevant communities and share the post there.
@ the beginning you can get a lot in communities and you get the right (interested) audience.
They will like, maybe share and comment in that community - you need to monitor it. I made hmmm 16 likes in two hours that way - just to show a client what to do.Its working in some topics in germany pretty well - dont know how it would be in your case.
(The banner is really not the best for ads - like moosa said.)
-
I am not very good with facebook Ads but as a user if I will look at your banner, I probably will not convert and like your page. Why not share some information that is valuable to your targeted audience and instead of boosting page why not boost post that contains some valuable information. I am not saying you will be able to get tons and tons of like but atleast the results will be better than 2 a day.
Just a thought!

Advice on how to improve our Facebook movement
Hello, We recently launched our facebook page found here. Our website is here. We give away 30% of our products and we donate to help bees, wolves, and people discovering themselves. I am wondering how, without spending too much money (we have some money) or for free to improve our Facebook campaign. We sell orgonite, art-like devices that absorb negative electromagnetic waves and help heal people with health conditions. We also are soon launching a little known powerful mineral supplement campaign (MMS - Master Mineral Supplement) to help people with cancer in return for donations if and only if it helps a lot. Our budget for that post is $100. Let me know how we can, for free or little money, improve what we're doing. Any advice is appreciated. We're trying to do a lot of good for the community. Thank you.

Getting citations from different cities for a travelling band
Hi mozzers! i play in a band that is based in Austin, TX but travels to all cities across texas. I've been told i need to have citations in place to help my organic rankings in the cities across Texas that i perform in. 1. What are the best ways to get citations to rank locally in each city for my band? i have a page set up on my website for each city that we perform in. Do i set up accounts on local business directories in each city that i perform in with a link to that city page on my site? I have performers that i hire in each city and can use their address for the local address on each business listing but my business phone number would be the same for all cities. I don't want this to look black hat to google by filling out business listings for many different cities with the same phone humber but my customers are in fact in all these major cities almost more than in my home town. 2. Since i can only fill out a google places page for my home city, what other ways can i get citations to help my organic rankings in all the cities that i perform in? Thanks in advance for everyone's input! Ron

Can we use SEOMOZ to get insights/data on the members of a twitter list?
It would be so useful if we could get insights into the members of a twitter list in the same way we can get statistics on the people we search through the "search twitter bio" options (following/followers/RTs/Social Authority/etc). This is possible through the twitter api but it limits to 20 list member which is useless. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks!

How to get Social Mention from an Expert in A field you know nothing about?
I have read many posts on this. However, the one thing I find challenging is getting an expert to give me a social mention. In many cases they have shared something similar in the past, and in many cases they are too busy. IMO building relationships via forums is the easiest way to find experts who will mention my site. I can engage them in a thread, and eventually take it to a Personal Messages. After building a relationship I can ask for a link or a social mention or to guest post or something. I have attempted contacting many experts via Blogs, E-mail, Facebook, Google + etc. for many different sites, IMExperince most “Experts” (people with large followings) will not give a noob (new site w/no rankings or new user w/no following) the time of day, nor a social mention. I have read many posts on engaging experts: tag them; send them flowers; like every post; make great comments. My result… bruised lips (from kissing behinds). I work with an SEO company, and every new site we work on seems to require a unique strategy for ranking. When we work on building relationships in fields we know nothing about, the outcome is weak. Unless we use forums. What are some strategies that work for you? what approach do you take when you have to build a relationship with someone you cant give value to?
