Increase in spammy links from image gallery websites i.e. myimagecollection.net

Hi there

I've recently noticed a lot of spammy links coming from image gallery sites that all look the same, i.e.:

• http://mypixlibrary.co/
• http://hdimagegallery.net/
• http://myimagecollection.net/
• http://pixhder.com/

Has anyone else seen links from these?

They have no contact details, not sure if they are some form of negative SEO or site spam. Any ideas how to get rid?

Hi Kerry,

I have also been seeing a huge influx of these links from image directories and have had a hard time finding out more information about them.  Finally, someone else seeing this same thing!

I've been disavowing them but there are so many and they just seem to keep increasing.

Would love to hear from more mozzers if they have been seeing these and if they are harmful.

I've seen this with clients in the past. Many of them won't respond to removal requests, but that's the best place to start.

1. Look up WHOIS info and email asking to remove links to your site.
2. Follow up in one week.
3. Document these attempts.
4. Any that do not respond, disavow them.

I doubt they are hurting you, but the above will ensure they aren't hurting you in any way.
