Image Titles and Descriptions Question
-
Hello, I have a question about optimizing the SEO on my pages through image titles and descriptions. There are a few times on my website that I use the same image on multiple pages. I am under the impression that giving it a title such as "social-media-marketing-agency-graphic.jpg" will help the SEO for the phrase "social media marketing agency" on that page. My question was, if I want to use the same image on multiple pages, am I better off uploading an entirely new image with a new title to make it more relevant to the new page? Or will this not make large enough of a difference? Or is there an easier solution? Please let me know your thoughts on how to best optimize the pages

Also remember the basis for it. The underlying principle is it can help the visually impaired read your site and understand what it is about.

Hi Adam,
Your impression is right, giving the name of targeted keyword to the image is usefull in a SEO perspective.
In every page that you want to put any image, it is advisable to optimize every image that way. Even if its the same image. Here you have some Moz Blog posts that dive in to Image optimization:

Another anchor text question
Hi, We are updating a site and creating new separate pages for each coworker (app. 50 coworkers). Each page will include picture, short description, cv and also a subtitle/"keyword list" called: "areas of expertise". Each keyword (area of expertise) has it´s own in depth page on the subject, would it be wise to anchor text -link these? or is this something that is likely to be picked up by google as spam? Thanks!

Image File Names for eCommerce?
Hi everyone! I'm wondering about naming my product photo file names for an E-Commerce site. Let's say I say have product named Abe Lincoln in the **Print **category for sale with 4 images, relatively similar but from different views for example.Could I name them as follows? 1) abe-lincoln-print.jpg 2) abe-lincoln-print-side-view.jpg 3) abe-lincoln-print-close-up.jpg 4) abe-lincoln-print-font-view.jpg Or is that too many keywords for the page? Should I be worried about keyword stuffing? Plus once I add in title and alt tags and descriptions this could also increase the keyword count for "abe lincoln print"?

Google not showing the proper title
I noticed that google is not showing the proper title in the search results. If you search for PhraseExpander, the title that google reports is: PhraseExpander: Text Expander for Windows but in the title of the page I've set Text Expander for Windows - PhraseExpander Why is that? How can I make google report the proper title? Thanks. Andrea

Page title in SERP question
Has anyone typed in a phrase in Google and seen their listing on the SERP, but the page title on the Google SERP is not what the CMS is set to ? Ie the page title in the SERP is not what is expected? Something related to the company, but not what is set on the CMS… Very odd – has anyone seen something like this before? What could be causing it? Is there a way to change it?
