How do i create a link.i am not a developer/programmer

I am a business owner with multiple websites and have an SEO company doing my work for me, i am eager to learn how to help my websites myself also. i want to know how i can create a link my self in my blogs to other relevant content on our websites. i understand anchor text, i just dont know how to actually create the link????

Hi Corey,

This should answer your question. It's written for Wordpress, but the technique is the same for most any site with an editing software. http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

thaks keri. it is for my own posts on my own blogs, just for interlinking between other relevant pages and posts.

so with the example. say for example i have the word moving in a post and i want to link to my home page with it, where do i type this linking url. where will the chain appear also? sorry if this is very basic stuff, we all start somewhere though.

Will this be on your own blog (as in you are writing a post on your blog), or are you trying to get links from other blogs by leaving comments? If you are trying to get links from other blogs by leaving comments, be aware that many of them will not allow you to put in links, or the links will have a "nofollow" attribute that tells the search engine "don't trust this link".

Here is how to create a link in plain html http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp. Often you will see a hyperlink icon that looks like three links in a chain. You highlight the anchor text, then click that icon, then enter your URL.
