Internal Link Building and Link Juice Quality
-
Hi There!
I manage the website for a law office that covers many geographical locations. For very specific niche content, we would prefer to create one piece of content and link to the various geographic locations where we would handle that topic instead of posting multiple variations of the same content for each specific geographical area.
If we put a button on these pages that has links to each location, will that have the same "link juice" effect to the pages we're linking that linking directly in the text would?
(example: the Where can we help you? button on this page : http://www.zdfirm.com/volkswagen-recall/)
Thank you!

Hi There,
Good topic, and like Chris, I agree that this approach of creating a single, really strong piece of content and linking from it to your city landing pages is a MUCH better idea than trying to re-hash the same topic over and over again for every city. I'm not an expert on how this would the flow of link influence, but I think it's way more important to consider the better usability your suggested method provides than would the thin/duplicate/spun content approach.
Hopefully you can find other geo-specific topics to cover for individual cities, but if a single topic applies equally to all of your locations, then it's a good idea to present it that way.

From my understanding of link placement, technically it wouldn't have quite the same strength but the difference would be negligible. In this particular instance, I think the way this is laid out is a good solution.
As you said, you don't want to be reproducing the same content over and over again for each region and the way you've got it formatted right now is nice and simple for users to find and interact with.
The only instance where I'd suggest doing differently is if there was some legitimate difference between each location. For example, if these locations were states and each state had different legislation relating to this issue which directly affects the user. In that hypothetical scenario it would be more beneficial for the users if you cover this on a state-by-state basis on their respective pages.

Internal Links - How to Increase them, Categories not being considered as Internal Links
Hi All: As per my understanding, Internal Equity Passing Links is a metric defining PA. Now my website has around 65 internal links while few of my competitors have more than 180 links. I am unable to understand how to increase the internal links passing equity on my website, because I can see, more number of links on my website than my competitors but opensiteexplorer does not show that. I am really confused. Please help out if anyone knows something about this issue. Thanks in advance.

Is tiered link building a good thing?
I think that I have watched all the webinairs and online courses available on the web, but I still don't seem to know how and where to get links from. I know what type of links I should be getting and what type I should be avoiding, but that little luck so far. I came across the website of Matthew Woodward about tiered link building where he explains how to do this type of link building in depth. It seems quite interesting but also a lot of work so I don't want to invest my precious time in something that will be penalised by Google in the near future. Is there anyone that can give me some reason why I should or shouldn't do this?

Duplicate Content Link Juice
Hello SEO Community, So sometimes I will pitch one guest post to multiple outlets and if multiple reply positively, I will tell all but the single most authoritative site that the article is being published elsewhere and it won't be unique for their site. But some don't mind and still post anyway. I definitely don't mind because it just means that more people will read my article and more sites will be linking back to me. What are the implications on the link juice from the most authoritative site? What about the other ones (which are still authoritative, just not as much)? Is there any reason I should explicitly tell them not to post if I know it will appear somewhere else? Thanks much,

Current best link building practise
Hi guys, Just an open discussion. I don't want to be told to use directories or just 'guest blog'.. What is the best method you are currently using? A lot of my competitors are using older techniques for quick wins but we're wary to do that due to the long term consequences... Thanks

Two link building proposals, which one is better?
Hi there, Our site has a DA of 73, MozRank 5.40, MozTrust 5.88, and over 45,000 external links. We haven't done any offsite SEO before, we got to where we are today organically. We're thinking about hiring a link building firm to help increase our rankings and we've received two proposals. Firm A offered to build us 30 links from DA 50+ sites over 3 months. The anchor text will most likely just be our domain name. Firm B offered to build us 90 links from PR2+ sites over 3 months. They have control over the anchor text. Given our site's profile, which proposal makes more sense for us? Would either of these initiatives move the needle for us? Thanks.

Link Building for a website with 170 K Pages
My website is having around 170 K webpages and every web page is meant for individual keyword. e.g. keyword for every page is height of a movie star. What should be my link building strategy Should I link other sites to index page of my website (if yes then what should be the anchor text) ? Should I link other websites to individual web pages of my website.

Link Building for a New Blog
We are setting up a new blog and I was wondering what is the best way to build good quality links for a new website? I have been researching this quite a bit on the forums and a lot of people talk about writing good content which I agree with however no one will find that content if we are not ranking in Google for our keywords. From what I have read the following is what I should be doing Directory's Creating Link-bait (Info-graphics) PR Releases or Getting News Sites to link to us I have heard a lot of mention of using Articles sites like ezinearticles but I have also read that Post Panda that they dont have as much link juice as they once had and also I don't think that for a Blog that we should be using it as well but maybe I am wrong? Would appreciate some peoples suggestions
