Need Help Finding Directories to Submit To

I am looking for a lot of free "do follow" technology directories to submit to. Does anyone know of a good directory or a list of some sort of technology directories or something similar? Actually, I guess any directory that has a technology category would be helpful.

SEOmoz has a decent one. Its a bit out of date, but its worth going through: http://www.seomoz.org/directories

There are some specific technology ones in there, plus most of them will have that category.

Sub-directories or Nah

Hey MOz Squad, So I have a locksmith company with 7 locations all up and down the west coast. We set up each location in a sub-directory (mainly because they used to have other websites for these locations and we wanted to try and keep the juice so we 301 redirected back to these subdiretories) But it's making our efforts so tough because every time I want to change something I have to do it seven times! DO the sub directories really matter that munch for rank? One of my partners says google treats it like it own website and trying to rank just a page on a website for a certain city is harder. What do you guys think Keep the subs or ditch em?

Need advice and smart solution for H1

Hi! I've been quite a long time trying to find a solution to the html structure of a webpage that I'am auditing right now. But I need your valuable help! The problem is the following: Actually, they have different sections inside. The structure is something like this Masters - Degrees - Programs - About us - News And if you go to the Masters Section you will find something like this Masters Master number 1 in Tourism (brand.com/master/master-number-1-tourism) Presentation
(brand.com/master/master-number-1-tourism) Objectives
(brand.com/master/master-number-1-tourism/objectives) Professional opportunites
(brand.com/master/master-number-1-tourism/professional-opportunities) Faculty

Master number 3 in Sports and so on The Degrees section, has inside exactly the same structure with the same names. My doubt is related with the use of h1 tag What would be the best h1 strategy for each content page? Each master has 6 pages (presentation, objectives, faculty,...) For page Objetives,
brand.com/master/master-number-1-tourism/objectives If I choose to use as H1 just the word Objetives, what will happen is that I will have a lot of pages (one per master, degree or program), with the same H1, because each master will have its own page Objectives. If we have 10 masters + 10 degrees + 2 programs y will have 22 pages with the same H1 Objecives If I choose to use as H1 the following: "Objectives of the Master Number 1 in Tourisim and so on with long name" it will be difficult for the users to visually see the difference between the different pages. for instance Objectives of the Master Number 1 in Tourisim and so on with long name and Faculty of the Master Number 1 in Tourisim and so on with long name because they only differ in one word. What do you think of this solution? Objectives Master Number 1 in Tourisim and so on with long name is it correct to do this inside the h1? or would you use combinations of h1 and h2 like these

h2: Master Number 1 in Tourisim and so on with long name would be this appropiate?

Rankings gone, no WMT errors, help!

Hi, Client Google rankings have been seriously hit. We have done everything we know of to see why this is the case, and there is no obvious explanation. The client dominated search terms, and are no down on page 7/8 for these search terms. There are no errors in WMT, so we can not resubmit for reconsideration. This is a genuine client and their business has been seriously affected. Can anybody offer help? Thanks in advance!

Directories

Hi All, Some saying getting listed in hundreds of directories has no real SEO benefit. Some saying opposite. Some saying there are only one directory to concerned with, the Yahoo Directory. What are your opinions on this question after all Google's Pandas and Penguins ? Thank you

Should I Remove My Articles From Article Directories?

I have been submitting articles to directories for about 3 years. With the Panda update, it seems that these directories are now obsolete. So, if there is no link value from these articles: 1) should I remove these articles (at east the better ones) and place them on my site/blog? 2) If not, would there be any benefit at pointing some bookmarks at these old links to maybe get some juice out of them?

Need some help with a tricky 301

I can't find anything online that deals with this issue. I have a page getting indexed by Google at mydomain.com/widgets and I don't know why. No links to it anywhere. The page it is closest to is mydomain.com/reviews/widgets and so I tried to set up a 301 to point one to the other. The problem is each individual widget review is at mydomain.com/widgets/reviews/products/widget-name and so when I redirect /widgets to mydomain.com/reviews/widgets it also redirects each individual product to mydomain.com/reviews/widgets/reviews/products/widget-name. Is there some way to just redirect /widgets without having it affect each product review? I cannot change URL structure either, nature of the site. Any ideas?

Do i need different IP addresses for mini sites?

Hi everyone We are currently building some non-advertorial based mini sites the link to a main "money site", these mini sites are all run off wordpress or similar and have different designs, however all the WHOIS data remains under one company. So therefore I dont know if really you need different Class C IP's anymore as google et al will just look at the whois records and link the websites up that way? Is this tactic still worth doing? Thanks for any input!
