What are some good examples of content marketing done well for clothing online retailers?

Hello, I am working on planning for a redesign of a eCommerce clothing website. Looking for some inspiration on some good examples of clothing companies using their content well. The design does not have to be the best, it can be just very well done use of blog type content or video.

That said, it's definitely neat that that allows their images to have the appearance of containing text, but that the text is actually crawlable. Maybe that would be beneficial for SEO!

You know, to be honest I've never heard of that having much to do with SEO at all. I'd assume it's cosmetic.

Looks like they are displaying the text on top of their images in html. Is this technique advisable for SEO?

I'm a fan of JackThreads's content. This piece, for example, does a great job of personalizing style while presenting a solution to a common issue (WHY IS IT 90F OUTSIDE AND 60F IN THE OFFICE?).

What's a good WPM for a copywriter?
My copywriter is currently hitting 2,100 - 2,500 words over three articles on an average day. He is employed full time, 7.5 hours a day with a 30 minute lunch break (He has the choice of a 1 hour lunch and leaving 30 minutes later). Let's say only 6 hours are spent researching and writing: 2,500 words / 360 minutes = 6.9WPM The content is generally rewritten from other websites with a little bit of unique content, on topics that are usually not complicated - the articles themselves are along the lines of a broad summary of what the other website offers/does. The content I receive is fairly generic and doesn't really say anything more than the source material. No formatting is done and generally I receive very large wall-of-text paragraphs. The content is written in one program and then copy/pasted into word to be delivered. All keywords to use are provided, as well as ~50 words and phrases related to the topic. The ~50 words and phrases are usually presented in a list ("they offer x, x, x, x and x, as well as x, x and x" etc), so this part of the task shouldn't be taking long. I am trying to gauge whether this is typical and what I should expect from someone who does this each day, as from previous roles I know more is definitely doable, but as for whether it's doable every working day I'm not sure. What do you usually receive from your copywriters for a day of work?

I'm in the process of launching two new websites (redesign / rebrand) - one website represents the manufacturer while a second website represents the retail side of the manufacturer (same company essentially but two different brands). The sites have co-existed historically without worry of canibalizing the other's traffic, but I want to make sure in this redesign that we're all set. I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations on how to handle two sites with different branding but VERY similar content (product descriptions are essentially the same). I was thinking it could be smart to just no follow the content on the manufacturers site since we're just trying to drive traffic to the consumer-facing retail side mostly anyway but would love to hear from the experts! Page Content?
So I have review pages for websites on my site, each website has a review around 400-500 words. Recently I had my writers write 2 additional articles on each site but about something they have there. My thinking was interlinking them allowing them to rank individually etc. However now after looking around etc.. I see that content that is upwards of 1000 words or more might be more powerful and the way this is all written etc.. I could easily put it all on one page.... So my question is do I go with 3 pages or 1 page. I can see strength in both

Google + Content Strategies
Hello, We are currently promoting a website and are considering promoting content via google + We have technical issues that prevent us from promoting content via the company blog. Our question is how beneficial is it to write original articles and post them directly on a company google + page. Is it good to post articles on google + and write original content directly to the google + page? is a technical option to integrate the goole+ content to the website? content and video for our site. Our visitors also contribute stories and/or
tips that add to the content on our domain. In short, our content is original. A site that often appears alongside us in the SERPs in the markets where we work full-time is accidentin.com. They are a site that only syndicates accident news and offers little original content. (They also allow users to submit their own accident stories, and the entries index quickly and are sometimes viewed by hundreds of people in the same day. What's perplexing is that these entires are isolated incidents that have little to no media value, yet they do extremely well.) The link profile is virtually non-existent. There are approximately 6 linking domains. I don't rest my bets with Quantcast figures, but accidentin does use their pixel sourcing and the figures indicate that they are receiving up to 80k visitors a day in some instances. Not too shabby for the Flying Dutchman of accident news sites. 🙂 I understand that it's common to see news sites syndicate from the AP, etc., and traffic accident news is not going to have a lot of competition (in most instances), but the real shocker is that accidentin will sometimes appear as the first or second result above the original sources. What the...!? The question: does anyone have a guess as to what is making it perform so well? While looking at their model, I'm wondering if we're not silly to syndicate news in the states where we don't have actual staff? Reusing Older content urls
Hi I have Windows Phone Games related site , we often post press release for various games as soon as they get released and later in a week or 2 we review some of these games . My question is , would it be better if I use use the old post and just delete the press release and post the review in that space . I will use an example to explain the situation Today I will do a press release : http://www.bestwp7games.com/infinite-flight-flight-simulator-for-windows-phone-7.html then say after a week I publish a review : http://www.bestwp7games.com/infinite-flight-windows-phone-flight-simulator-review.html My question is would it be better ( from an SEO point of view ) if I just delete the content from http://www.bestwp7games.com/infinite-flight-flight-simulator-for-windows-phone-7.html and add the review content in to that post ? PS : I am not a SEO guy so this might be a stupid question , if it is just go easy on me 🙂
