Grr SEO linking.. I am not understanding why I wouldn't have lots more links.. Please help. Thanks
-
I have done the whole moz open exploer and I am not understanding why my site wouldn’t have more links registering to my website.. I have lots of sites(directorys and 3rd party) with my website domain in them. The only one that is linking to my site is BBB.com and my advertsing with saint paul press.
But if I have links with all kinds of automotive directories why wouldn’t they register?
I am sure this a simply answer or that I am not understanding something. Thanks for your help!

Hi Scott,
Just a little tip for you - set a Google Alert for your brand name, URL or title that others will use to link to you, and then when they appear, you will get an e-mail from Google - this is normally a much faster way to approach discovery.
But as Donna said, no one place will report everything linking to you as they have limited resources to go off and crawl the web. The best thing to do is gather resources from different locations and collate them (MOZ, Search Console, Ahrefs & Majestic).

Scott,
Questions like this get asked all the time in this forum. I suggest you use the search function on the right to look up some of the answers. Quickly though (and I’m paraphrasing another answer), Moz isn't going to discover all your links because it (like others) has limited resources. Some links will get found in subsequent crawls, others may never get found.
All the link research tools suffer from this same constraint, some more than others. None pick up as many links as Google, and Google doesn't share all the links it finds with us.

SEO & URL parameters on external links
Hey guys! I've got a quick question: We are getting some guest posting opportunities with a few big sites in our space...
Link Building | | floriannin
In those guest posts we will also have to chance to link back to 1-2 articles of ours and to our main site. Should I use UTM parameters to track how many clicks we get or will this in any way negatively affect our SEO benefits? Hope you guys know what I mean. I found tons of articles on this but mostly about inbound links... which isn't the case here. Thanks in advance 🙂0 -
Directory listings for a new site and it's implications on SEO
Hi all, In classic newb style I have submitted my new site to several uk directory listings after seeing these listings used by competitors, both local and national. I chose ones with a low-spam score as shown on the Moz site explorer. Now my domain score has jumped up several places over a few days, as has my search position, but will these listings "hurt" in the future? I fully intend on chasing and gaining non-quick'n'easy links in the future for he record. Many thanks!

'spammy' domains redirecting to website
Hi Everyone, I hope that someone will be able to help us with this one as we have trawled the internet looking for a solution! We have multiple domains (.com/.co.uk/.net versions) which all point to the one website, however, some of these domains have a high spam score - 9-11. Our first initial reaction would be to remove the auto redirects, but, the other domains have been a source of conversion in previous months (or so analytics tells us). So what I'm wondering, is do we remove the 'spammy' links from redirecting to our site, or do we leave them there? We certainly don't want to risk a penalty. Thanks for reading!

Inbound Links not showing. Links are not no follow
Over the past several months I have definitely received inbound links to my website ( none of which are no follow). I have HubSpot as well s Moz and none of the links are showing. My competitors with the same link sources are showing though. I am completely dumbfounded. Why are my inbound links not showing and how much time does it take for them to show if they show at all? Thank you!

Using sitewide links to improve link profile?
Hi Guys... When I look at my competitor's link profile, they often have thousands of backlinks. For example, one of our main competitor, he got 3,400 backlinks in total but only 80 referring domains. When I look at my link profile, I have around 50-60 referring domains, but hardly 80 backlinks. My question is, is it okay to get a few sitewide links (no-follow of course!) to get to the thousands backlinks? Or I will be able to achieve top rankings with my current link profile? Thanks!!

Are links with space considered to be the same as links with %20?
I wonder if Google would consider those three links to be the same? http://www.example.com/test page.html http://www.example.com/test page.html http://www.example.com/test+page.html

Pursuing Links on Sites You Have a Link From
Is it a bad idea to spend resources to get a second link from a site that already links to you? It seems like the marginal value of each additional link is much smaller than the first link.

Has anyone used this or something like this and had any benefit from it? Thanks Shehzad.
