Resubmitting to Moz Local
-
Hello,
We use Moz Local to manage local listings for our clients. What are the best practices for resubmitting once there are changes made to the data? Should I resubmit all data even if there aren't any changes to most of the locations? Would there be a time frame that I should have for this ie: Once a quarter, Once a year?
Thanks!

Thanks Lisa!
To elaborate, NAP changes (name, address, phone, website) must be made through our verification partners, which are Google and Facebook. These are sources we use to verify the quality of the location data submitted to Moz Local. You can see which verification partner a business location is using right in the dashboard as seen here. Once the change is made on Google or Facebook, Moz Local will automatically detect the change and resubmit the corrected information to our partners.
Non-NAP changes (social links, images, etc) can be submitted through the Moz Local dashboard.
If you're not making any changes, then there's no need to resubmit since all data is re-submitted to our partners every 1-2 weeks, automatically. You can verify this by looking at the accuracy metrics in your dashboard.
To be extra thorough, if you're making a change to your NAP, you can add the old business information to the "alternates" feature in the duplicates section. Though we will push the corrected listing information to all of our partners, this can be a way to be extra sure your old NAP information isn't popping up as a duplicate elsewhere online.
Hope this helps!

It’s confusing.
You have to go to the Moz Local Overview page and click Start Using Moz Local.
Then click on your published listing and “edit my listing” which pops up next to your current score.
Your business listing data will be displayed so you can edit whatever has changed.
As Lisa suggests, update it whenever there has been a change to your business local data and resubmit. Moz will push the updates out to it's network and they'll pick it up from there. There's no reason to wait.

Hi there Cathleen!
Moz Local actually automatically pushes out your listing information to our directory partners on a continual basis! That means if you make any changes to your listing, the tool takes care of all resubmissions on your behalf.
I hope that helps!

Moz Listing Paused
One of my Moz listings is paused because "Listing not found on Google or Facebook." My Google account is linked to Moz and the listing is showing in Google results and on the back end of Google My Business but it is not showing in the Import option. You can see the listing does exist and is live on Google: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Woodstock+Furniture+%26+Mattress+Outlet/@34.088617,-84.584448,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x8ea1bc3d2994cbf4?hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiq5ZXejtPYAhXHyoMKHYJGDmsQ_BIIqAEwCw Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.

Moz Local Now Available For Canada?
I'm in Canada and it's been a while since I checked but I just went on the Moz Local page and saw the CDN flag. Does that mean the service is now available for Canada?

Does Moz track mobile queries?
Sorry if this has been asked before (searched to no avail), and it's probably a dumb question... but if you're still reading... 🙂 I'd like to determine which pages of my site show up on MOBILE searches (i.e. user is on an iPhone). I know that Moz shows searches "from" a certain location, but my understanding (which may be wrong!) is that the SERP on a mobile device is sometimes different from a desktop search. Ultimately, I'm trying to decide whether to create a whole different layout for my home page ONLY for mobile devices, and if virtually everyone finding my site on a mobile phone would see that page first. I figured if Moz tracked "mobile SERP rankings", then I could simply see if any pages besides the home page are ranking for my targeted terms. Any thoughts or clarifications greatly appreciated! 🙂 ~ Scott

Hello Moz Support, I've submitted to Moz Local 2-3 weeks ago - Bayou Tactical in my account. And the percentage remains the same with certain websites saying 100% incomplete that should be covered with Moz Local. Please help and thanks! Cole

Uploading CSV for MOZ Local: The CSV you uploaded contains no listings.
I keep getting this error message. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or what. Basically, I have filled in all the information, and not edited the parts where I have no information to populate. Gives the error: The CSV you uploaded contains no listings. Thanks.

Can Moz local correct listings with incorrect addresses/phone numbers that have no FB or G+ listing?
We just started using Moz Local for a law office client. The csv has the client's correct information. However, our client has listings out there with a completely incorrect address/city and alternate phone number. There wouldn't be a valid FB or G+ listing for this incorrect address to use for validation. Is there any way Moz Local can find these and correct them by matching name or website alone? The incorrect ones are not showing up in the list of duplicates.

Moz Local Distribution Network
I'm looking for some documentation on Moz Local about the distribution network. I know Moz submits directly to:
Moz Local | | rustmedia
Infogroup
Acxiom
Nuestar/Localeze
Factual
Foursquare
Superpages
Best of the Web However, Moz doesn't seem to provide documentation on what sites will be updated from their distribution network. I need to know how this entire distribution network compares to the Check Listing graph provided by Moz Local. For example, I know Yahoo is part of Localeze's distribution network. What sites in the Check Listing graph are not part of the entire distribution network?0
