I'm always dubious of duplicate site content, automatically generated content is a bad idea. Google will pick up on that like shot.
I would guess it's a combination of both duplicate content and automatically generated content.
I have yet to see an actual penalty for duplicated on site content, although I guess it could happen. But what I have seen is that Google will be less favourable to your site if there is a substantial amount of duplicate content.

According to John Muller and Google's Andrey Lipattsev, there isn't a Google penalty for duplicate text across a website.
You'll find they answered this question in a Google hangout > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxCAVmXfVyI&feature=youtu.be the first question they answer is "is there a penalty for duplicate content" and continue with even more insight.
Read the article I've linked to below if you don't want to watch the entire thing, it breaks down a Google Hangout above > http://digitaltransformation.com.au/blog/seo/duplicate-content-doesnt-matter/
David Butler's response is spot on though, I would definitely be looking at what is on your page, even if the duplicate text is relevant, you need to one up it and include something else or add additional information to make it more valuable than just common text across pages.
I would still look into other area's of your website as well content is just one of many influences.

Hi poke1,
What percentage of your page content are these duplicated sentences?
If it's 2 sentences out of a 50, I think you'll be fine. If its 2/3, you may want to look at improving the value/quality of those pages.
It's hard to say without looking at the site.
HOWEVER, I think you identified your main problem when you said that your website "produces high-quality automatically generated textual content".
Spun/automatically generated content is always a bad idea and would be a Panda issue, no matter how good you think the automatically generated content is.
I'd recommend that you stop using this automatically generated content and start creating your own valuable content.
Cheers,
David

I submitted Sitemaps from AIO SEO to google search console, if I now delete the AIO plugin, do my sitemaps become invalid?
I use Yoast as SEO for my new Wordpress website https://www.satisfiedshoes.com/, however I couldn't get the sitemaps with Yoast as it was giving me error 404, and regardless of what I tried, it wasn't working. So I then got the All In One SEO while still having Yoast installed, I easily got the AIO sitemaps and then submitted them successfully to the Google search console. My question is that now I got the sitemaps on Google, since I'd rather use Yoast, If I want to delete AIO, will the sidemaps given to Google become invalid? There is no point keeping both SEO plugins active right? Thank You

Deleting Tags without Penalty?
Hello - We have a site with over 1,000 tags. We added too many and would like a fresh start as they are creating a lot of duplicate pages on the site. What is the best way to go about deleting all of these tags without being penalized by Google? Is there a way to tell Google direclty to stop crawling them? We would prefer to not have that many pages just sit as 404 errors on the site. Thank you.

Delete indexed spam pages
Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone had this same situation, or may know of a solution. One of our sites was recently pharmahacked 😞 We found an entire pharmaceutical site in one of the folder of our site. We were able to delete it, but now Google is showing us on not found error for those pages we deleted. First, I guess the question is will this harm us? If so, anyway we can fix this? Obliviously we don't want to do a 303 redirect for spam pages. Thanks!

Delete or re-submit sitemaps for new products? How often?
When I add new products (approx. 10 a month), I usually delete the old sitemap and submit a new one. Is this ok to do, or should I just re-submit it with the new info included? Also, is once a month too much?

How to delete video rich snippets?
Hi mozzaholics, At first I was very happy to have video snippets appear in Google (200 pages), but now after 6 months I see a drop of almost -30% in traffic, whilst the average rank stayed the same, compared to the star snippets I have for other pages. So I want to remove the video snippets and have the old rich snippets back. I tried removing the videositemap and google's the structured data tool doesn't show video snippets. Does anybody know what else I can do to remove the video snippets? Is there anybody who succeeded deleting them? Please share your wisdom. Ivo

Should I delete a page or remove links on a penalized page?
Hello All, If I have a internal page that has low quality links point to it or a penality. Can I just remove the page, and start over versus trying to remove the links? Over time wouldn't this page disapear along with the penalty on that page? Kinda like pruning a tree? Cutting off the junk limbs so other could grow stronger, or to start new fresh ones. Example: www.domain.com Penalized Internal Page: (Say this page is penalized due to keyword stuffing, and has low quality links pointing to it like blog comments, or profiles) www.domain.com/penalized-internal-page.com Would it be effective to just delete this page (www.domain.com/penalized-internal-page.com) and start over with a new page. New Internal Page: www.domain.com/new-internal-page.com I would of course lose any good links point to that page, but it might be easier then trying to remove old back links. Thoughts? Thanks! Pete
