Goals for Sub Domain
-
- I have created separate account for my sub domain and created goal for that, we have sales force data base to capture the leads. The problem which i'am facing is comparing to the goals and Sales force leads is very much difference.Goals leads are showing huge than sales force leads.
2) When lead is creating from organic source but in goals it's showing referral lead.

Hi Anshul.S, sorry to say that, but there is no way you'll ever get the exact same numbers in Salesforce vs GA. That's because Ga is tracking Goals based on JS which could be triggered several times even without a purchase.
To give you some examples:
- an user could be refreshing the thank you page and you'll be getting multiple visits
- you may have a purchase of 100$, but then the person doesn't pay or cancel the order, it own't be real money.
You are correct about integrating GA and salesforce, but you have to use salesforce to validate GA data which is mostly interesting for detailed analytical purposes not revenue or business ones, where the most reliable sourc eis your own DB.
Regarding the source, I did this in the past, you want to ensure that you create your cookie in the same way Google is doing it.
- Consider that Google changes the source of traffic in case the session times out (more than 30mins) or if there is a change of source, ex. you serch in google enter the website, leave, then enter again using direct.
- Also ensure you're using the same attribution model Google uses. Last click, first click, etc etc
- Ensure that you're correclt carrying over the source in your cookie, by properly QAing.
Hope this helps.!

Hi Anshul,
I am assuming that you have set form submission as a Goal on google analytics, and you are comparing Google analytics goals with the number of leads you captured in sales force DB.
- Are you tracking goal submission on a thank-you page after the form is submitted ? If yes, check if this page is directly accessible and indexed on google, it might be getting direct users and these are being counted as Goal conversion.
- There can be problem with your Goal settings as well, you should check the guide here https://www.hallaminternet.com/how-to-setup-a-goal-in-google-analytics/ and https://yoast.com/setting-google-analytics-goals/
- You can use Google Tag Manager , use this guide https://www.clickinsight.ca/about/blog/tracking-form-submissions-gtm
I hope this helps, if you have further questions, you can respond to this answer.
Regards,
Vijay

Redirect multiple domains to 1 domain or not?
Hi there, I have client who has multiple domains that already have some PA and DA. Problem is that most websites have the same content and rank better on different keywords.

I want to redirect all the websites to 1 domain because it’s easier to manage and it removes any duplicate content. Question is if I redirect domain x to domain y do the rankings of domain x increase on domain y? Or is it better to keep domain x separately to generate more referral traffic to domain y? Thanks in advance! Cheers0 -

Domain Forwarding / Multiple Domain Names / or Rebuild Blogs on them
I am considering forwarding 3 very aged and valuable domain names to my main site. There were once over 100 blog posts on each blog and each one has a page authority of 45 and domain authority of 37. My question is should i put up three blogs on the domains and link them to my site or should i just forward the domains to my main site? Which will provide me with more value. I have the capability to have some one blog on them every day. However, i do not have access to any of the old blog posts. I guess i could scrape it of archive.org. Any advice would be appreciated. Redirect non www. domain to WWW. domain for established website?
Hey guys, The website in question has been online for more than 5 years but there are still 2 versions of the website. Both versions are indexed by Google and of course, this will result in duplicate content. Is it necessary to redirect the non-www domain to the www. domain. What are the cons and advantages? Will the www. links replace the non-www links when it comes to keyword rankings? Thanks.

Multiple domains on the same hosting
Hello, I have around 80 sites (different domains) which are on the same host. Everytime I look up the IP of these domains, it gives me the same IP. The sites are interlinked, all linking to the main domain. My question is: Does the off site link building have effect on the 80 sites?

To 301 redirect or not to 301 redirect? duplicate content problem www.domain.com and www.domain.com/en/
Hello, If your website is getting flagged for duplicate content from your main domain www.domain.com and your multilingual english domain www.domain.com/en/ is it wise to 301 redirect the english multilingual website to the main site? Please advise. We've recently installed the joomish component to one of our joomla websites in an effort to streamline a spanish translation of the website. The translation was a success and the new spanish webpages were indexed but unfortunately one of the web developers enabled the english part of the component and some english webpages were also indexed under the multilingual english domain www.domain.com/en/ and that flagged us for duplicate content. I added a 301 redirect to redirect all visitors from the www.domain/en/ webpages to the main www.domain.com/ webpages. But is that the proper way of handling this problem? Please advise.

301 for old domain to new domain - Joomla plugin or cpanel?
A client changed domains and both are being indexed. There are thousands of content pages. I can install a 301 redirect Joomla plugin and configure it so that each page redirects to the new domain. I have a feeling I will need to manual set every page. OR I can create a domain level redirect setting in cpanel using wildcards. I think this will automatically pass every old URL to the new URL. Which is the better approach? The cpanel option sounds like less work.

A client will be translating their entire site into French in addition to English. For SEO purposes, should I host it on the same domain or create its own dedicated domain?
The current site is a long-standing site with good authority and a good number of links. Thanks....
