How to track search queries with GA
-
Hi there,
I am trying to track my search queries on my site with GA. http://i.imgur.com/Pfkasco.png
Until now, I have to result? Any tips?

Looking at your setup, I would have thought it should work so I'm a little confused.
if you're still having trouble, you can use filters in GA to custom extract the search term from the URL and pass it through to GA.
check out Lunametrics guide on how to do this: http://www.lunametrics.com/blog/2015/02/24/enable-site-search-reporting-google-analytics/

Hola Amigo,
I think you misunderstood my question. I want to track the search queries within my site with my search bar.
Thanks for the answer!

Hi there!
This is actually a fairly simple process but you will want to use Google Search Console instead of Google Analytics:
The good news is that Google Search Console is **FREE! **
-
Sign into GSC and click search traffic
-
Then click search analytics
-
See the queries button? Select that!
You can use the different configurations on this page to filter your website traffic and find queries that landed users on your pages. Hope you found this helpful!

It's look exactly like this: recherche?controller=search&orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=botte&noproduct_text=Il+n%27a+aucun+produit
the keyword is botte

What is the website you need to set up tracking on? Can you give me an example of a URL when someone has searched?

GA traffic locations must be wrong? Most hits from a state we don't do business in!
I launched a website earlier this year. Very limited traffic, 200-300 a month. It is an info site for a specialized business. However, when I review my GA traffic reports, 20% of our traffic comes from one city in Virginia. (although the company does business in many states, it does not in Virginia) or anything close. The bounce rate is 97%! Could it be a web scraper or some kind of redirect?

Export Google Search Results
I would like to export a list of pages indexed by Google and other search engines. According to our site search with google, we have over 300,000 pages indexed. Anyway to export a list of all of these pages? Tools like ScreamingFrog (which I own a copy of) can crawl your site but does not tell you the pages indexed by a search engine... I've tried using tools that will let you export each page of the results. However, this won't work for a 300K page website. Thanks for your help!

Google keyword planner shows low search volumes
Hello, There are some terms that you'd expect to see a lot of results. In fact, in the old days of Keyword Tool, I recall seeing thousands of results for a keyword like "anderson cooper". Today, I see a small amount as a monthly average. Am I doing something wrong? All I really want to do is find search volumes on particular keywords either globally or local to a country. And it's proving soo hard! 😞 Screen_Shot_2013_11_26_at_11_13_20_PM.png

How to best figure out synonymous search phrases
I'm curious about synonymous key phrases and competitive key term analysis. I have a few methods for conducting research to find what phrases Google considers synonymous but they are very time consuming. What are some ways to figure this out? An example would be livestock and cattle. Are there any good ways to figure out user intent related key phrases? For example in our niche if someone is looking to purchase something Google often delivers pages with title tags that include the term supplies. Would it be advantageous to optimize for these types of key phrases if the competition is less or should I assume that Google groups exact match and synonym and intent match together when calculating relevancy. Eg I can choose to target livestock or cattle on page. Livestock gets a quarter the search volume cattle gets but has half the competition. Will I be competing against the cattle sites too? If so should I just bite the bullet and target cattle?

How do you know if you have been penalized by search engines?
How do you know if you have been penalized by search engines? I logged into my Google and Bing webmaster accounts and all looks ok, but in the last 30 days, my organic traffic has decreased 33%. My traffic usually steadily increases and if there is ever a decrease, it's usually very small.

Website coming up in omitted results for search term?
Hi, My website is coming up in omitted results for search term. Now I have heard before if this is the case then its mainly due to a duplicate content penalty. But the content I used is unique and produced by a copywriter so its good. Its a new site and was in the results for about 2 weeks, I changed the non www to www in webmaster tools 1 day ago and now its sitting in omitted results. In webmaster tools I had to add the domain twice one non www and one www. Both accounts I hooked up a sitemap. Is it just because the site is new and its just working out where to rank me? Just so you know the non www was indexed for the 2 weeks changed it in webmaster tools so I wanted the www one indexed and now gone into omitted results. Cheers
