(301 Redirect) Link Spam Score: 10/17
-
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a specific answer, so I'll give some specifics to help get some information.
After looking through Open Site Explorer we've noticed one of the links from login.gpstrackit.net has a 10/17 spam score.
https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/spam-analysis/flags?subdomain=login.gpstrackit.net
This link is a 301 redirect from a previous login URL, so users can be redirected to our current site and login from there. I don't know how to approach this situation or what the correct fix is.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hey there Charles,
Sam from Moz's Help Team here!
To be completely transparent, the Spam Scores you see in Open Site Explorer are from data collected last year. That means some of the issues listed there might no longer apply to you, or they might have been fixed as you've worked on your site. If you know you've taken care of the issues, then you shouldn't need to worry about the spam flags any longer. We actually don't include any 301s when we crawl a site to assign spam score. The score you see now for the 301 would be from an old crawl that will eventually disappear from the index.
Additionally, just because our tool has assigned a site a specific spam score does not mean it is impacting the site in any way. These are merely suggestions of sites to check out. If you haven't determined yourself that they are spammy links, then there is no action or further concern required on your part.

DA/PA Question
Hello Mozzers, May be a noobish question but I've learned to ask when I stuck. Can we calculate how many links we need to get for example a domain authority of 40. Like can we say, if we get 8 more 80+ DA links, our own DA rises to 40. I know DA/PA are just moz numbers and it takes a lot more to succeed, but I thought about it and now I want to know it;) Help is highly appreciated!

Open Site Explorer Recently Discovered Links Question
Hey Mozzers, I have a question regarding the Open Site Explorer Recently Discovered Links. I know that I have receive follow link from a few sites that have more DA than my site. I am wondering why it is taking so long for OSE to discover these links? I double checked the sites to make sure that they don't have NOFOLLOW (sorry for the double negative), and the sites have linked to my site for over a month now. Any ideas? I'm not concerned about it because Search Engines have discovered those links. I am just curious why this is, or if it is normal. Cheers!
