Domain Authority Dropped to 1 from 13
-
Hi,
Our domain authority was at 13 two months ago and it dropped to 1 one and half month ago, I waited for MozUpdate but still no luck.
my question is if my domain name doesn't have proper non www to www redirect, moz tool will show authority correctly?
How do I check if redirect is proper for Moz to account it ?
website is working fine though, no problem to redirect from non www to www.com website.
Regards,
Vishal

Also, what links are you building?! Link building the wrong way can definitely backfire.

It will take our tools some time to pick up on recent backlink growth. With any luck, our tools will find and index those new links to your site that you've been earning, and you'll start to see your Domain Authority increase over time.

Hi,
When DA was at 13 we had 0 backlinks. no social traffic or nothing just paid traffic.
now I started link building some tools shows 16 some 5 but pretty sure at least 2 links are there,
Just saying that 0 backlinks DA was 13, now 2 backlinks from DA90+ and it dropped to 1.

Hi Vishal, Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
As long as you've got a redirect properly in place from the non-www version of your URL to the www version, or vice versa, that should be enough for our tools to follow and find links pointing back to your site. It sounds like Martijn, below, is correct - your site probably isn't well represented in our Mozscape Index. Luckily, just by searching for your site with Open Site Explorer, you're prompting our crawler to visit your site, so hopefully within the next one or two index update cycles you'll start to see your Domain Authority improve.
Martijn is also correct that working on improving your backlink profile is one of the most effective ways of boosting your Domain Authority - that's a great place to start!
I hope this helps! If you've still got some questions for us, feel free to give us a shout at help@moz.com.

Hi Vishal,
Usually 1 will mean that Moz didn't include your domain in their latest index. Which is also bad news as it means you didn't have enough links from other sites to really pop up in their search across the web. What I would focus on is building links so in a future update you will be included. In this case it won't mean much as DA 13 was not super high and might have caused you to drop out on the next update.
Martijn.

Why does the number of the total external links and the followed linking root domains between Open site explorer and the campaign in Moz pro doesn't match?
Opensiteexplorer returns 52.473 total external links and 715 followed linking root domains while my campaign in Moz analytics return 35.899 total external links and 1092 followed linking root domains. Does anyone knows how this is possible?
