Schema.org for Hotels
-
Good morning,
I have a question about how to use Schema.org on a hotel website. Since a website will have many pages, do I add the microdata for the hotel's address, contact info, ratings, reviews, etc on every page as that information is in the footer of each page or do I just add to the homepage once?
Thanks in advance

I'm afraid it's going to need to be added manually. (They acknowledge this is a pain, here: <a>https://schema.org/docs/faq.html#10) </a>and explain why - sort of.
There's a getting started guide, here: <a>http://schema.org/docs/gs.html</a>
You can use Google's Markup Helper, which may make it easier for you to implement:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/markup-helper/?hl=en
There's a great help section on this, here: <a>https://support.google.com/webmasters/topic/4599161?hl=en&ref_topic=4589289</a>
If the code is in the footer (so re-used across the site) you should only need to tag it once.
Some schema properties that relate to your industry may be useful, too:

Good luck and happy tagging

Need explanation of Schema
Can someone explain me what it is and what is it used for. From my understanding it is something used by computers to understand language. In other words it is what you can say about an entity. For example a person works, is born somewhere but if I write Mr X flies to as human we do understand but as a computer the computer doesn't understand. Is that what schema is for ? telling me what I can say about an entity using specific verbs so that computers can understand. Thank you,

Product Schema & Google Guidelines
Hi We have product mark up on our site, data-vocab rather than schema. I can't see it showing in Google SERPs, but when testing it appears to be correct. Are Google still selective with what schema they show for a site? Thanks

Schema.org mark up to avoid duplicate issue?
Hey there, I was wondering, does product's mark-up help to avoid penalization due to duplicate content? Here is the example: one of my client doesn't supply unique content. Because the major part of the content is technical description of products made by a couple of manufactures, do you think it will help me to link the official manufacturer webpage in a schena.org product mark-up? I know this is the right procedure to add mark-ups, but as on the pages of my client an outbound-link will show up, so I want to tell him this will be the only way to have that duplicate content without incurring in penalisation. I'd like to give him more than one solution, as I'm pretty sure it will never supply us with unique content. Thanks Pierpaolo

How complex or what to consider when moving from a .aspx webdeveloper to my own wordpress.org website?
Basically my current web developer is not providing me with what a modern website should need to fully utilize online marketing and SEO in terms of blogging, social media widgets, e-commerce and so on. Because of this I have thought of moving to a wordpress.org website run and built by myself. Is this a good idea? What is the best way to migrate and save existing authority (Re-directs etc)? Is there any potential risks or problems that I could encounter that aren't immediate obvious? Many thanks! Tom

Are micro formats and schema.org a worthwhile investment of my time?
Hi all, I recently watched this webinar http://www.seomoz.org/webinars/microformats-real-life-use-cases and it was very good, but I'm not entirely certain if this is a worthwhile thing to be doing? I have a couple of websites I'm improving the SEO on, and things are slowly picking up but I'm not sure if I should be spending time working on improving my landing pages (once these have been identified) or working on the code side of improving my SEO position. When improving my landing pages I'm asking myself the following questions: What is this page about? (Is it clear through headings or introduction text / imagery Does the page sell the benefits of the product / service in a clear manor? Does the page explain what the product is all about? Is the information easy to read, well positioned on-screen and is the content optimised for 1, maybe 2 distinct keywords. Is there an easy method of communication to the site owner if the visitor is interested in the product or service and wants either a quote or wants to find out more. Are there a few links to other relevant areas of the site Granted at the moment I'm in the process of teasing the relevant information out of the client but that's like trying to get blood out of a stone, so I'm exploring other avenues, while they get more content. I am considering going down the route of guest blogging, to possibly get a one-way followed backlink, but again this seems like a lot of effort with no clear guarantee if my efforts in doing this will pay off in being able to generate more leads / enquiries from the websites. Would anyone like to share their thoughts on this?
