Amir,
You can use Google Trends to see if people are searching for related terms. You should also try those queries in Google, Yahoo and Bing to see what the competition is, if any at all.
Enjoy,
Randy

but, where i can see if there is enough pepole that are intersted in that subject, and from where they are?

Ideas are cheap. It's the realization of them that makes difference.
Books are good for obtaining background knowledge on the subject. But you will have to take a pencil and a paper and write down answers to the following questions: "What value will my application bring to people? How will they benefit from it? How will it save their time, make their life easier in some way or another?"
The answers will guide the further research. If your application isn't going to satisfy a need, it's unlikely that people will pay for it. And you need to 'go to the fields' and ask people if they will like your application and be ready to pay for it. Their answers will give you a lot of new ideas.
In other words, stop thinking fancy marketing terms like 'target audience', 'segmentation' and suchlike. Think simple - 'Will people need my application?', 'Why would they pay for it that price?'.
There's a looong way from having an idea and making that idea commercially viable. You can end up selling something entirely different from what you envisioned at the start.

Blocking external links in Robots.txt - need advice on Best Practice
I look after an affiliate site that is doing quite well in the search rankings. We've been doing a review of our practices and one thing that has cropped up is our robots.txt. In it, we disallow Google from crawling external links. This used to be best practice in the affiliate industry a couple of years ago, but I wanted to know if this is still the case, and what the implications are if we were to: a/ leave it as is? b/ allow crawling? Thanks in advance.

Tricky Situation. Need the communities help on this. Need Creative ideas. HELP! !!!!
Hello Moz Community . I currently work with an e-commerce company who is the health and beauty sector. The company is about 7 years old and been online for only 2 years. Income comes from 90% from wholesales/retail stores ( owned by franchisees ) . The entire worldwide chains generate about 300 to 400 sales per day with an average sale price of $125 per sale. The problem i have had for the last year is the boosting online sales. ( we are a very unknown brand ). I have missed about 40% of my target goals and its becoming frustrating. There is my current dilemma and i need some creative ideas. The wholesales have a hold on the current market and sale prices of the products. We need to make sure we ok the prices with all the wholesale franchisees before doing anything. We cannot do promotion upfront on the website because the wholesales work with a discount tactic to sell products in the store. Although it is unorthodox , it works for them. My Dilemma is we have a potential 300 to 400 customers per day i can convert to online customers, but i cannot market to them in the store what so ever. I cannot ask the wholesale franchisees to get their email address because they will screen from the mountain tops that we are steeling customers from them . My question to you guys is , what creative way can i grab customers attentions and of course Email - Addresses to potentially switch them over to online customers. Just a reminder i cannot Do anything in the stores, but however i can do anything i want with the product. And yes we have our website address on the boxes and products and we even have a life time guarantee on products when they sign up online, But we convert customers at a measly 3.5% with that gimmick . I had thought about putting a little tag on the products or a little booklet inside the packaged boxes and basically invite the customers to order a free sample set of our products. I wanted to create a landing page and then have them input their information. Then i thought about magnifying the procedure by stating " invite your friends to receive Free samples of our products. " and having them input their friend and family email addresses. I do feel its a solid idea i have but i wanted help by asking some of the communities creative mind. If you have any questions about anything please feel free to ask and thank you in advance for all your help. Best Wishes, Hampig M.

Affiliate marketing dead?
I have created a network of travel websites that I have decided to promote little by little.. Also so they getdomain age and google trust.... but now when you search for all my main keyphrases... you either have wikitravel, lonelyplanet, frommers and other big brand. I guess that Google gave them better value as to get trusted travel information... However, it seems it will be very difficult to rank my sites. I could do long tail keyphrases but again might not be worth it... I used to work as a SEO consultant for other travel sites selling products... they still rank pretty well as they are sites of value selling something.. of course threy compete with other sites but we are in the same level. How can you compete with loneyplanet with your affiliate site because I am not selling anything on my sites. I am pretty much desperate. I designed a network of 30 sites... all good content with good SEO on the page... of course, I will be honest. I might have to change the content to make it better... you can check one of my site here; www.simplyparis.org it is worth it or better stop this project and focus on 1 product oriented website ? Is anyone working as an affiliate marketer with experience after google panda and pinguin ? is affiliate marketing dead in 2013 now?

Anyone Have Any Experience With Catch Marketing?
I was recently approached by Catch Marketing about a service they provide that uses a product data feed to create hundreds of pages with "unique" (algorithm generated) content on a subdomain of a website targeting long-tail keywords not already driving traffic to the site. It's an affiliate type setup with a commission-based fee structure. Admittedly not the most elegant solution to driving long-tail keyword traffic but my company is short on resources and long on revenue goals. I'm not really interested in hearing about creating awesome unique content written by a human as the better solution here; although I understand and aspire to those ideals the reality is that I have 60,000 products to market and I'm the only one who writes product content - after I tend to my other responsibilities. Has anyone used or heard of this service? Your feedback appreciated.

I need some feedback on the value of affiliate aggregators like Link Share
My company decided to start a Link Share affiliate program at the beginning of this year. I've had serious reservations about the value of the program since the beginning but was overruled. Here are my concerns: The majority of publishers seem to be coupon scraper sites or borderline link farms I am told the biggest revenue earners in our network are publishing articles about my company with links back to our site but if they are Google Alerts sure isn't finding them and a manual search hasn't turned up anything either. This makes me think these publishers are using some sort of unsavory way to drive traffic to our site or maybe even cookie traffic that was coming to our site anyway in order to get credit for the sale. Most of all I'd like to hear from anyone else who has used Link Share in the past. Secondly I realize there's not a lot of information here but I'm wondering if this passes the smell test for anyone else. Any feedback would be appreciated.
