I understand that the title shouldn't look spammy and needs to be relevant to the user. My question is, for example if I am writing the title for a women's scrub category page should the title be "Medical Scrubs For Women:Nursing Uniforms At Low Prices l Name of company" or should I take out the "at low prices" and put in some more keywords which may make it sound more like listing keywords? My thought was that if I have the extra space why not put in some text that will be enticing to the user to make them click. Please let me know your thoughts.

Keyword stuffing doesn't work any more, the entire page content needs to be relevant to the searcher intent (i.e. a keyword that your customer uses).
You should incorporate a few of your main keywords in the title. Remember often the page title will be displayed to the searcher, if it isn't relevant or looks spamy, people aren't going to click on it.
Keep in mind CTR when it shows in the Google search results.
Imagine you are searching for "premium holidays in the UK". But if your page is optimised round price and contains text something like "low-cost value for money self catering holidays in the UK" this clearly doesn't match your search is intent. They are searching for a "premium", not a "cheap". So both from a user and Google perspective your page won't match the searchers request, even if it did come up in the search results CTR is going to be low.

The page title is a two-fold benefit.
- It explains the page to Google
- It tells visitors what they can expect
Best practice here dictates that you write your title for your audience, but not ignoring the important keyword(s) for Google as well.
Try not to keyword stuff as pages like this tend to look unnatural before you have even got to them.

The Yoast plugin is installed on the website. It generates the following meta property tag when I enter a new title-tag in the plugin: Next to that I have my standard title-tag. <title>dummy</title> Is this meta property tag able to replace the title-tag? Thanks!

Should stop words be used in titles? I'm aiming for natural title structure.
I have fully optimized on-page SEO for the following keyword (not really the one I use, but it can serve as an example): -personal driver in los angeles Even though "in" is a stop word, I prefer to have a natural (non-robotic) structure for the title - I do this by including "in". I believe that "personal driver los angeles" is too spammy and too robotic. Is this a good or a bad thing?

Google rel hell
So apologies in advance for this question, but: Can someone explain whether as a site we should be using the "rel author" tag or the "rel publisher" tag? 1. We don't really need to distinguish between the people who write our content. 2. We definitely do need to establish ownership of our content, as unfortunately it has been widely copied. We are spending quite a bit of time filing DMCA notices. 3. Do we need to apply either tag to every page? Or does "del publisher" just need to be applied to the homepage to cover the rest of the site? 4. What looks better in the search results? - a person's face or a company logo? I have a website that has been live for about 8yrs. I do not have any significant rankings for my main keywords but am now starting SEO on my site. I am contemplating changing the url to contain the main keyword prefixed by my brand name. Any views on the ranking benefits and or CTR benefits.

Mentioning own site and keywords on here?
I have noticed that sometimes posters will talk about a site without mentioning what it is.
