Domain Authority
-
Since we started using Moz our domain authority has dropped from 84 to 79. We can't figure this out. Is their someone we can discuss this with?
-
Tom,
Your use of Moz is unrelated to the drop in DA/PA.
There have been some recent changes that Rand addresses in this thread: https://moz.com/community/q/is-everybody-seeing-da-pa-drops-after-last-moz-api-update#reply_359883
For an overall explanation of fluctuations, try this link: https://moz.com/community/q/da-pa-fluctuations-how-to-interpret-apply-understand-these-ml-based-scores
Have a great day,
Matt

Domain authority get down significantly. Internal MOZ Issue? Google Algoritm Update?
I've noticed that several websites have lost DA since middle of october. I attached a picture. Could be this a MOZ internal issue like happened a time ago? Not only the DA get down, I have lost C-blocks links, too

Why my Domain Authority (DA) is Decreased from 21 to 19?
Hello, I would like to know how the changes in domain authority is counted by MOZ? Domain Authority for my this domain http://www.grandcrayon.ca/ was 21 and it is decreased to 19 in last week. I have checked the moz report and it shows DA as 19. We already have grandcrayon.ca and we recently redirected our .com domain (http://www.grandcrayon.com also to .ca so all the back links of .com are now showing in webmaster for .ca. So i would like to know the reason behind decrement in DA and is there any connection with redirection of .com domain? How can i increase DA for my website?

Duplicate Content for Default Document Domains
I've noticed recently that within the Moz Crawl Report I keep seeing duplicate content for one of our pages that pulls from a default document. The pages are product pages, one ending in releases/ and the other ending in releases/index and are both identical pages. Normally in these situations I would prefer to make sure that every link is being sent to the releases/ page, however according to Moz, the releases/index page is actually ranking better and has a higher internal link count. Can someone advise me on the best way to deal with this situation? Hopefully I've explained myself well enough! Thanks Sam

Confused - SEOMoz Reporting On Different Domains?
I wasn't sure which report to set up on my domain, so I set up 2 different ones which now appear like this in the Dashboard under the Campaigns section: *mysite.com www.mysite.com I want to delete the wrong report, but I noticed that they produce two slightly different report results which is interesting. My domain does not have any subdomains - which report should I delete?

Hi everyone, I request an advanced linking domains report in Open site explorer, but my csv file have only three columns as a normal linking domains report : Root Domain, Domain Authority, Number of Linking Root Domains. I have missed some important data as: anchor text, origin, target url Etc I try to request the same report two time, but I have the same problem. Why is the linking root domains count not increasing
For the last month I have been tracking my backlinks thru open site explorer. Over the same period I have gone on a minor link building exercise via social media, some directories as well as writing fresh new content for the site. However, my backlink count has increased in the Rank Tracker tool but my root linking domains have remain at the same level. Is there a lag or is this because some of these site are not in the open site index? To be specific - I have personally setup follow links from sites like tumblr, posterous, stumbleUpon, delicious and other like these. Would really like to understand the limitations so I can take the appropriate action. Thanks

Is DA a reliable domain metric?
I use DA and PA every day for reporting, researching and most of the time it's a pretty good metric to compare domains and pages but recently I did an experiment and I was surprised when I saw the results. Two months ago I "link bombed" one of my old, unused websites with thousands of spammy blog comment links. Before the attack, its DA was 21 with a few hundred links. In August, after the recent OSE update I checked the website again and I was quite surprised to see DA 61 as a results of 8340 links. A DA value over 60 is considered pretty strong and it's interesting to see that spammy blog comment links could change it so significantly. Someone who doesn't know the history of the domain might get interested in advertising on such websites because the mozbar shows a high DA value. I know it's difficult to algorithmically differentiate between spammy and valuable blogs but a future OSE update could focus on this issue. Let me know what you think.
