What Are other people using in replacement for sliders?

Hello, Moz Community! I am currently trying to replace a slider on our client's site. Sliders, in my opinion, are awful, they slow load times and just don't convey a solid message. I am using Wordpress and the visual composer plugin. Any ideas are really appreciated even they may seem a bit much, if I don't know how to do it I will figure it out. I apologize as well if this isn't the appropriate place for this type of question.

Well my personal slider preference is https://smartslider3.com/ it's light, it's groovy and it's free.
On the other hand, if you are an anti-stlider crusader then a full width image with a strong call to action will do the trick.

A powerful call to action should be used. You have about 8 seconds to appeal to the visitor and get them to engage with the brand. What you is present above the fold is everything.

Duplicate Content when Using "visibility classes" in responsive design layouts? - a SEO-Problem?
I have text in the right column of my responsive layout which will show up below the the principal content on small devices. To do this I use visibility classes for DIVs. So I have a DIV with with a unique style text that is visible only on large screen sizes. I copied the same text into another div which shows only up only on small devices while the other div will be hidden in this moment. Technically I have the same text twice on my page. So this might be duplicate content detected as SPAM? I'm concerned because hidden text on page via expand-collapsable textblocks will be read by bots and in my case they will detect it twice?Does anybody have experiences on this issue?bestHolger

How would you target alternative names for your product with the use of internal/landing pages?
Recently, there has been some new industry names that have emerged for the type of software we provide and we want to make sure that we rank for those terms (of course!). The 3 names combined are too long for a title tag and would look odd to incl all 3 in the homepage. Any suggestions (or examples) of how this could done without looking spammy? I am optimizing title tags and was wondering if it makes a difference if I use "commas" in between keywords that are synonyms or should I use "and" instead?
