Domain Authority Dropped from 13 to 1
-
Hi there,
I know Domain Authority is not a KPI, it's a relative metric but we saw a huge dropped down in our domain authority this week and I got worried. I am trying to understand why this happened? Any idea? Our website link is here https://www.wealthmanagementcanada.com
Is it something related to Moz update or with our website?
Regards,
Ahmet -
Actually, you are right. The reported links just went down to 0. I don't know why would that happen?
-
It would also be a good idea to check what happened to the domain authorities of competitors / similar companies. If they dropped off in a way that's relatively consistent with yours, that could be an indication of something related to the particular Moz update.
-
So the Moz crawl has been dropping links and picking up new ones on every crawl. Check your moz reported links. If there is a big drop here or none reported at all, it would explain your authority loss. Also as the moz crawl grows some links are not valued as high as others, this would also reflect the drop.

Witch domain to use the highest authority and backlinks or the new one?
Hello I have 2 domain names to the same website as described: domain.net is redirecting to domain.com 301. domain.net age = 16 years domain.com age = 18 years domain.net was in use before the 301 redirects for many years, and it have a better moz authourity(55) from domain.com(45). also have a better count of linking domains(3.2K backlinks) backlinks from domain.com(1.2K backlinks). all data is from Moz pro. the question was what to use for my website for more SERP traffic? Is using .net domain better? or make them both work without 301 redirect with a canonical meta tag? if yes to witch domain best to point this meta? Thanks

Why is my domain not being crawled anymore?
I just noticed that right around 12/1/2012, SEOMoz stopped crawling all but two pages out of the 400 or so on my website at www.TrustworthyCare.com . I speculate that this is probably due to some dumb mistake I made at that time, but I can't for the life of me figure out what that mistake was. Before that, the weekly crawls included all 400 or so pages. I wonder whether it's something that changed in our .htaccess file. Here's how that file looks now; can anyone see what is wrong there, or perhaps offer other suggestions if it doesn't look like anything is wrong in it? Thanks! PPS - I found and read this page, but I've pretty much tried the things described there (I think): Why would my domain authority keep changing when I refresh?
Hi All, I've noticed that my domain authority is changing every time I refresh SEO MOz. In some instances it increases and other time stays the same as a previous month. Is this just a mid-transitional stage? or is there a potential bug in the system? It's making it difficult to know what is really happening.

How to check Page Authority in bulk?
Hey guys, I'm on the free trial for SEOmoz PRO and I'm in love. One question, though. I've been looking all over the internet for a way to check Page Authority in bulk. Is there a way to do this? Would I need the SEOmoz API? And what is the charge? All I really need is a way to check Page Authority in bulk--no extra bells and whistles. Thanks, Brandon
