How to do an SEO audit
-
Hi all,
I am new to SEO at my company and I would like to complete a SEO audit. As a beginner, I am unsure as the depth to go in to this. A template for such an audit would be amazing! Can this be done without much technical help from the development team is the main question. They often seem stretched with current projects. I'd love to be able to show through the audit the state of our current SEO and then prioritize changes based on data.
Some practical tips and suggestions on tools is greatly appreciated because through measuring the correct data, I will be able to put a case of which areas of our SEO needs work on.
I really hope you can help me with this!
Thanks,
Eric -
Thanks for the suggestion on this Doc Jesper. I remember seeing it before but this time I will have a thorough read through and see how I could put the ultimate guide to practice!

SEO Moz Bug? Universal Placements
Had a quick look around and can't find anything relating to this. We are doing really well with our universal placements, google places etc. SEOMoz used to recognise them, but now I have no universal placements according to SEOMoz, though they are clearly all still doing well. But in the program, or problem with the data? Thanks Marc

What do you use for site audit
What tools do you use for conducting a site audit? I need to do an audit on a site and the seomoz web crawler and on page optimization will takes days if not a full week to return any results. In past Ive used other tools that I could run on the fly and they would return broken links, missing htags, keyword density, server information and more. Curious as to what you all use and what you may recommend to use in conjunction with the moz tools.

How to get organized for Freelance SEO
Hi there, I'm fairly new to SEO but have learned a substantial amount in the last 8 months or so. I currently run my own web design company but want to add a new SEO service to the list. My question to you all is this... How do other SEO'ers organise their week for clients with SEO needs? Do you dedicate a day per client, divide your day up into hourly segments per client? What i'm looking for is a rough guide as to how I should get organized for the new service that I want to provide. How do you monitor what you have been doing with a client? There are sooo many questions that I want to ask, ut feel I may end up driving people crazy. Any help/advice will be welcomed with open arms!! Many thanks.. Alex

Hey from a New guy to SEO
Hi everybody!!! Hope everybody is dandy. Have spent a long time looking into SEOmoz and decided to just take the plunge and see what happens. Im quite new to the world of SEO but I really want to get good at it. Hoping Moz and this community will aid with this! Currently in the process of reading the SEO beginners guide and the SEOmoz user guide! The two sites that I am currently working on are: 1. www.advanced-incar.co.uk 2. www.advanced-incarcamerasystems.com The first site seems to have crawled well and have entered my competitors and am getting some info back (looks like I have a lot of work to do judging by the errors D'oh) In the world of Google what is the best way to ensure you have authority on certain terms. For instance if I search advanced-incar we are top and we have all our sitelinks underneath etc etc, but when I search advanced incar we are second and as such we don't display sitelinks. Any ideas? The second site was built using 1&1 and gives us a good little site for what we need. I have found out through research the most popular keywords are in car camera & in car cameras. Currently Im using Adwords to get us sponsored hits which is getting us some nice traffic but costing a bit. Those are the two main keywords i want this site to really hit home with. Any advice? Also on this site, when I go to SEOmoz and select Link Analysis I get no info. It just shows 0 or 0.0 wheras my competitor sites all have values against them. Is something wrong with my site or what im doing? (Have added an example screenshot) I appreciate its a long ended question but would really appreciate some help. Hoping that the guides will help me understand all this linkjuice stuff etc as well! Thanks guys, really appreciative of any info you can provide. SEO PowerSuite - best kept SEO secret or just bullsh..?!?
I've come across a lot of SEO tools in the last 5-6 years. And there are many great tools out there! I don't believe in the one-tool-fits-all. Among the tools I make use of are Raven Tools and Searchmetrics (great audit and market analysis tool!), and the tools in here, of course. In my search for a better ranking report tool I came across Rank Tracker from SEO PowerSuite. That seems like a great tool in category with AWR; but I am not able tell so as I am not a power user. Well, here is where I am going: I then tested the rest of the PowerSuite and it seems as a great product. But searching for the tools in here, and nothing shows up. Silence. Also elsewhere in other serious places. Why is that? It is a collective secret, shhhh, don't tell 🙂. Or is it is just crap? I know they have a bad reputation in regard to prices and updates. What do you guys think?
